Great Speech ?
Are you high ? Please.....
Even the NY Times, a liberal rag, disagrees with your take on his speech...
Wake up libs....Osama is on his way out...Once McCain announces his VP running mate which I'm betting it will be Mitt Romney, Osama is dead in the water....People are seeing his inexperience and his inate ability to fake everything...and do it well....Talk about drinkin' the Kool-Aid....
McCain needs to come out swinging and suggesting that while Obama wants to be president of the world, I want to be president of the United States....

Yeah Obama thinks so too, he even said 'WE' are the one's we've been waiting for,,,,,, he certianly does play the narcissist role very well. I'm glad the telepromter worked throughout the speech you could imagine if he'd actually had to say something off the cuff and say how he actually feels.
It was a well Written speech, I think I'm goning to vote for whomever wrote the speech.

do not speak for me. I know the only person who belongs in the seat of President of the USA, the man who lives by our Constitution and will protect our rights as Americans, is RON PAUL.george soros and strong media interests controlled this whole election process. (or, did you notice?)
good, solid men like Dennis Kucinich, Mike Gravel and Ron Paul ...and there are more, were kept out of the light...in the dark. no one was given an opportunity to see just how valuable these are. It's called the DUMBING OF AMERICA. and, Obama is the blatant result of the DUMBING OF AMERICA.

"Did he actually say anything meaningful in his speech?"-Locky
You should ask your mommy or daddy to explain what the nice man said.
I think it is great that children like Locky are interested in adult matters, it bodes well for the future of our once great nation. :)

How is he bringing dignity and respect back to our country? The only thing he's done to date is talk. He started the speech by saying they aren't used to seeing someone like him talking to them. Well I believe the Sec of State for the last 7 years were African Americans.

It's already heating up. Nothing he said was that far out of line. We have as a nation made a lot of mistakes. We have done a lot of good too. Lately over the last few years we have been doing more bad than good. We need to get back to doing more good than bad again. I would like to see the day that McCain, Bush, or any Republican you got, could go to a European country and get a reception like that. It just wouldn't ever happen. I know that kills you inside, because it forces you to reconcile in yourself why you hate a man that brings dignity and respect back to our country. Take a long hard look abnd you will see what's really good for this country has nothing to do with your own selfish ideas.

Whether it's in love, marriage, business or any other interaction with people communication or "talk" is the first step. Our present administration did much less talk and more dictation. They refused to talk to leaders at all unless they met all kinds of conditions. If you were married to a person that required you to do A,B, and C before they would talk to you, How would you deal with it?

I respect your right to disagree, but consider this. Once in a while a leader emerges in history. MLK, Ghandi, Lincoln and numerous others. What are they remembered for? Their "platitudinous speeches" for the most part. History has shown that the type of leaders that were the greatest of all time were great orators. I think Obama fits into that mold. It may be too early for you judge him that harshly.

It's not about loving Democrats. It's about loving leadership. Obama has shown to those people his leadership abilities and the willingness to work together. Unlike the policy we have now of dictating policy and then saying, "Your either with us, or against us".

Iraq has had enough. Out of the 12 billion we spend monthly for these "wars" 10 billion went to Iraq. You don't want to pay for this war do you? So when is enough, enough? If you really like this war and feel it should continue, then they should develop a war chest. All conservative and others that think the war should continue, should be taxed accordingly until the debt is payed off. Want to see some lifelong Republicans switching parties in a "New York minute"? Try implementing that.

I'm so glad Barack Obama (the Messiah) is picking up votes across Europe. They seem to really like him there. Maybe he should run for Kaiser of Germany. That is, if they've gotten over that pesky superior Aryan race thing.
Meanwhile, back on U.S. SOIL, John McCain is making great strides in Minnesota, Michigan and Ohio. While the Messiah's away winning the hearts of Europeans we couldn't care less about, the REAL presidential candidate is gaining ground and closing whatever small gap is left in this race.
Obomb-out's overseas trip is going to prove to be his Waterloo. He looks so ridiculous drawing crowds of foreigners 10,000 miles away, while McCain quietly goes about picking up voters right and left in AMERICA.

The message that has come forth from other blogs and news sources are that Landstuhl Army Regional Medical Center was awaiting him but Obama's large number of press people were not allowed in to the facility that the military would control the crowd...and with this restriction Obama desired not to go see the wounded troops. The Army did not want a spectacle and thus it was OK for the Senator but the press would have limitations....VERY POOR DECISION ON OBAMA'S PART......VERY BAD TASTE TO THE TROOPS BASED SOLELY ON PRESS CONCERNS!!!

He's sticking with his vision. It may anger people on the right, because the message of hope contradicts the message of fear that is being sent out by the Republican party. Whether he speaks in Berlin or Kansas his vision for hope instead of fear is the same, and people are tired of being afraid. Tired of being told that their rights and their tax money has to be spent rebuilding and giving democracy to countries that don't even want us there. What happened to the American people. When are we going to be "afraid" to not help achieve a better democracy in our own country. Don't listen to OpEd's from Brooks. Look around and you will see building our own country far outweighs the benefit of pouring billions into Iraq for political power.
