O'Reilly Wants Proof That FoxNews Is Racist? Read Your Own Columns, Bill »
Posted By jovial 2 months, 2 weeks ago in NewsYesterday on his Radio Factor, Bill O'Reilly tried as hard as he could to come up with something that proved the case those dang smear sites were making. That the Fox News channel is racist. He even brought on the ever brilliant, albeit Fox News consultant, Prof. Dr. Marc Lamont Hill, a real live African-American, to try to help him.

That is nothing compared to a letter in my local paper yesterday that excoriated every black person in one lump sum as failures. All the women are constantly pregnant and on welfare, all the men are absentee fathers in jail.
Funny that doesn't jibe with many of the blacks I know. I even know some right wing blacks. This type of sterotyping O'Reilly is guilty of in general. It's his M.O. I would not call him racist. Rather, simply ignorant. But of course when you often claim to speak for the American public that only confirms that idea. But Fox is a vast wasteland of color. The only minority on Fox I can recall is Kelly Washington who certainly does not fit the mold of my local writer. Clean cut, family man, Republican, never been in jail. Oh, and Juan Williams who although he came from NPR leans right on most issues. The only other minority I can name at Fox would be Alan Colmes!
What cracks me up about Fox is the women who sit on the sofas in skirts so short they spend half the show trying to keep their crotches covered. Your a journalist? Wear some clothes. And that goes for Katy Couric and her oiled up legs too. I want to see legs and heels I'll go to a strip joint!

Well, if you don't agree with Bill O'Reilly then you must be a Nazi. If you don't believe me just watch his show if you can. They're nothing more than a propaganda network.

The man is a slick racist. He hides behind this facade of stating facts and being so fair and balanced. What a crock! I still remember his surprise and astonishment in a black restaurant that the patrons could talk without uttering the word m-----f----r.

I don't watch or listen to O'reilly, so I don't know what else he has said, bu the examples in this article are not racist. he is correct, the first black candidate in the general election for president is probably going to spark an emotional conversation on race, as it has. and people like rev. wright are going to get attention b/c it drives directly at white fear and black angst.

i see no race baiting in these particular comments. it is not racist to be aware of the difficult situation between races in america. what with having the descendants of slaves living with the descendants of slave owners, and all.-

As you stated, you do not watch or listen to O'Reilly so you may or may not know about the connections that his network tries to make between Obama and Osama. Always followed by an "Oops" or "pardon me" to highlight the remark and O'Reilly is just as guilty as the rest. How they compared the "fist jab" by Obama and his wife as a "terrorist" jab. You may want to call it politics if you like but the fact remains they are making a point that Obama is black and that my friend is racist. It's intended to remind their viewers that still have the racist streak in their subconscious that he is black and cannot be trusted. If he was not guilty of being a racist, he would not allow those comment to be aired during his show.

I like how Kieth Obermann kept running the segment on O'Reilly where he says a kid is better with a pedophile than his own parents.
Best proof is the speech by Roger Ailes, O'Reilly's boss, given when accepting that time in journalism award last year - most bigotted speech I've heard from a newsperson! It was televised often on CSPAN.... Then, don't forget how the folks on the fox show walked out on a debate on racism that was obviously supported by the network just a couple weeks ago!

Fox has become everything the right wingers envisioned when Reagan vetoed the Truth in Telecommunications Act.... and why today's repugs are adamantly against the Fairness Act.... while all the psycologists affirm that polarized news only further polarizes.... like everything Dumya has down to separate the country (divide and conquer), especially the real rich from the rest of us!
