The people pushing for this bigoted repeal seem to think that the only thing that matters are things like using the restroom. What about the transgender individual who is fired from a job or discriminated against in housing for being transgendered? Gays and lesbians need to fight side-by-side against this repeal. The overzealous right needs to be cautious about attempting to take away more and more rights. Eventually, they will lose some of their rights too and wonder why we do not support them.

The repeal of this law would be a disaster for gay rights in Florida. The people of Gainesville have some protection, even though Florida law does not seem fit to protect its gay community. If the overzealous right continues to take away rights solely because of people's gender or sexual identity, gays and lesbians will eventually revolt.
As for the arguments raised by the right, their claims are ludicrous. Why would a transgender individual rape someone solely because they are transgendered.
