A Vote For Military Force Against Iran? AIPAC’s House Resolution, H. Con. Res. 362 »

Posted By populist 1 year, 5 months ago in News

What will be the fate of H. Con. Res. 362? Even if it is held up indefinitely in the House Foreign Affairs Committee, the fact that it has 259 co-sponsors means that it expresses “the sense of the House” regarding the alleged threat posed by Iran and a willingness of a majority of members of the House to support AIPAC’s Iran foreign policy.

"no one can wage a war based on truth". I copied this phrase from a commenter on the source article. This is especially true of any action occurring during the Bush watch.

Know this for a fact, the rape and pillage of Iraq had nothing to do with any threat from Iraq, it was for Oil. Remember it was propagandized as necessary to save us from the nuclear threat. If this seems familiar in the Iran run-up its because it is the same propaganda. Why not, it worked in Iraq, and if that immoral war had gone better, we would have already invaded iran or some other country. Read that source article very carefully.

And the planned war against Iran will be to steal the Oil. This war would make a few people more rich and more powerful. The great majority will get to spend their lives, their freedoms, and their futures to help the rich and powerful.

We need to bring the war criminals to justice.

The US is not going to attack Iran. Even Bush is not that crazy. Here are the reasons:

      1) The surge in Iraq has worked because Iran is cooperating. If we attack Iran, all hell will break loose in Iraq. Bush can not afford this.

      2) Our military is overextended. This doesn't mean we can't fight another war. It just means that if we do, we will be out of reserves and our allies will be vulnerable to attack (for instance South Korea)

      3) The price of oil will shoot up to $15 a gallon or more as the Iranians rain ballistic missiles down on the Saudis.

      4) We can't be sure of success since the Iranian millitary is much larger than the Iraqi millitary was and we all know how great we have done in Iraq.
