McCain, the Republican presidential candidate, said last week that his campaign ad mocking Democrat Barack Obama with images of Hilton and singer Britney Spears was part of an attempt to inject humor into the presidential race.

I wonder how many of John McCains contributors are ruing the fact that their money is being wasted on what McCain claims to be humor and fun!!??
Humor and fun can be an excuse once, but not over and over.. McCain's about worn this excuse out. Who is his campaign manager anyway, Jeff Foxworthy?-

Whats even more interesting is going to the Huffington article and seeing that McCain's own mother, although she admits not seeing the actual ad, says the idea is stupid. That'll be a tough one to live down.

After reading Mrs Hilton's comments I tend to think that Mr H wrote the check and said it was from both of them and probably never consulted Mrs H. -

When thinking of credible voices on proper behavior or moral authority, Kathy Hilton has never been one of those people who come to mind. However, I can understand people taking offense at McCain's humor. It may not be torture, but it's still painful to watch.

I have been reading some thread comments and it seems that there is still the proverbial "circle jerk" going on about the fact that Obama refused to debate McCain in the so called "townhall debates".

Have these people already forgotten that it came out, FROM MCCAIN'S CAMP, that the original debates were set to be rigged, with McCain having people planted at these debates asking the questions?? Why would Obama agree to anything McCain sets up now?

I don't know which one is the more ignorant, the Hiltons for supporting that idiot, or that idiot for shooting himself in the foot! If he wasn't running for president it would be laughable, but in lieu of the fact that he IS running for president, it's tragic!

Just how is Obama supposed to be like Paris Hilton ? Let's see - Paris comes from wealth, has a famous last name, has difficulty speaking in public, has had problems with booze and other drugs, received a DUI, and been bailed out by her family numerous times.
