Obama has opposed exposing more coastline to drilling, saying that oil companies have not fully explored the areas open to drilling now and insisting that it would have little immediate impact on prices at the pump.

Yea....Good ole Osama has jumped on the bandwagon since he was seen the overwhelming popularity with Americans and the obvious need to drill offshore here in America....

I liked the idea of him changing his mind; however, I still feel he's posturing especially again with the little stunt Pelosi did recently telling her Democrap cronies to express their independence on the gas issue if it will help them politically...So, in essence she's saying give the American people what they want, go through the motions because at the end of the day, when Osama is president and we're in power, we're not going to do any of it....

      What a little troll....

"He said the $500 and $1,000 tax rebate checks he had proposed for next year should be mailed immediately.

Obama clarified his call for a windfall profits tax on oil companies, saying it should be limited to five years. And he revamped his $50 billion economic package, stipulating that $25 billion be spent on repairing roads, bridges and schools."

These rebate checks would be pulled from the windfall profits made by hard working oil companies....

Taking from the rich and giving to the poor.....

More Marxist behavior from Osama....Why not take money from Microsoft or Apple and give to the poor...They make big profits? Why is it in this country we can talk about penalizing successful people or companies by taking their profits from them and spreading it amongst the undeserving? Don't they realize that these greedy oil companies have employees who pay taxes, are employed and producing a product that everybody uses ? What's wrong with Osama ? Why do we as Americans have to feel bad if we're successful and other people are not ?

I for one, do not...I am neither rich nor poor, but if I were rich I certainly would want to have a choice where and when to spend my money, not some bureacrat take it from me and give it to undeserving people....I should be able to choose to do that not forced too....
