Camp Inquiry in upstate New York seems at first like an ordinary summer camp: the campfire blazes as camp-goers in shorts and sandals toast marshmallows in anticipation of s'mores. A few yards away, some teenagers take turns squinting into a telescope to see Saturn.

    Just the fact that they can openly talk about religion and question it is something very new and refreshing. Of course many of the practices used by religions work--that's how they get people to sign up. They present these practices as reliant on religion, when they are not. Prayer, for example, has been shown to be scientific and not related to any particular religion. Prayer is apparently more about aligning our thinking and actions with reality and programming ourselves to be hopeful. It's about time a camp like this became available.

      Great. I wish I had a camp like this to attend when I was a kid.
