Lelouch deploys Jeremiah and Guilford to take care of Suzaku. Sayoko frees Kallen while Rolo attempts to locate Nunnally, who is being evacuated. Britannia manages to restore power to the area and the battle intensifies as both forces clash. Lelouch is captured and nearly killed by Luciano and his Valkyrie Squadron. However, he is saved when Kallen arrives in the newly upgraded Guren Ganesha's Eight Elements Type. Using the new Knightmare's overwhelming speed and power, Kallen kills Luciano and severely cripples the Lancelot. On the verge of death, Suzaku's ***** command activates and compells him to use the FLEIJA bomb. He misses and the bomb detonates over the government complex, obliterating a massive section of the settlement. Lelouch has a nervous breakdown when Rolo tells him that Nunnally was killed in the explosion.
