So where's the list wiseacre? It's easy to call names and insinuate but please quote my posts which make you suspect I'm looking to join a racist organization.
Reply
Also, what do you mean start the name calling? It appears you've already started calling names.
So put up or shut up!
1.) The list
2.) The quotes-

Wolfie -- are you so obtuse that you honestly doubt the existence of hate groups who would want to see Obama harmed or killed? Have you ever heard of Google? Google the word "white supremacy" or "KKK" or any of the possible permutations that go along with those kinds of groups. Are you really too stupid to do your own research? Figure it out, dummy.
Reply
You have to be the biggest idiot in the world if you really don't think this threat exists, or that there are hateful people out there who would wish him harm.

The Southern Poverty Law Center has monitored hate groups like the KKK, Christian Identity, Neo Nazi and white supremist groups for decades. They recently added the right wing Christian organization, Family Research Council, to its list of active hate groups.

The oldest hate web site is stormfront.org. In the upper right of that site you'll see a picture of Paul Fromm. He's 'faux' news' poster child for freedom of speech.-

This is what is suspect from Obama nation---the growing list of all who disagree as "hate mongering". The "family research council"? The eventual criminalization of opposition.
Reply
II think the Southern Poverty Law Ctr does important work. Unfortunately, they. like ACLU, or the Anti-defamination League have let politics rule over thier noble missions.-

Hate speech is hate speech, and SPLC has the common sense to know what hate is. They don't allow groups to hide behind 'bibles' to spew that hate. You have the 'politics' of hate backwards. -

Well, thanks Candida. I only asked for a list of the groups who were alleged to be threating Obama. I got some lists but I have no idea if these are the groups who are doing the threating. Also, you insulted me and it was insinuated that I am a racists per some of my previous comment. I asked for those comments to be quoted to me but so far I have received nada.............
Reply
I only asked a question and how many of you made personal insulting remarks that have no basis in fact? Talk about the politics of dysfunction.-

Wolfie, you wrote: "I'd like to see a list of these white supremacists web sites just to see if they really exist."

You can't possibly be naive enough to believe that no white supremacist group exists in the US. I'm not a fan of Jerry Spinger and similar shows, but even I've seen them spewing their hate. I've seen little 2-year-olds dressed up into the "uniform" of the KKK.
You asked for a list of white supremacists and they are shown on the map that I've provided. Knowing their names, I'm sure you can find their websites on your own. Of course none of them will openly threaten Obama because they don't want the law breathing down on their necks. As the article mentioned, even the head of the KKK only suggested that he is convinced that "someone" will take care of this little problem.
I confirm that I've never seen any racist comments made by you, and I don't think I've ever accused you of racism either. I'm sarcastic sometimes, but I don't go for personal attacks. My sarcasm in this case was directed at your real or pretend naivety.

Like who are only "loudmouths" & no other threat? I haven't a clue who you're talking about. In a post above I listed the groups that are of concern by their actions, such as the KKK. If you want a comprehensive list of the 'doings' by hate groups, go to the SPLC website. Your comment is a generalization, and makes absolutely no sense.

I suspect you are overstating the risk. The KKK and most white supremists groups don't have the resources and organization to do anything other than their goofy spectacles.
Reply
And why only white supremist groups? Why not others? Surely if those knuckleheads are a risk, so are others.
Where do you draw the line between a legitimate freedom of speech and hate speech?

bigurn, I certainly hope you're not a supporter of the Dept. of Homeland Security's tactics to secure the U.S. against what they call terrorists.
Reply
Their methods (and the accompanying infringements on all U.S. citizens' constitutional liberties) are far more drastic than any taken against white supremacist hate groups here.
To paraphrase your comment, labelling every group of loudmouths (or Muslims) as a terrorist group is also naive.-

Few Muslim groups have the resources to be a threat, and the ones who are not a threat have nothing to fear.

You might also find the U.S. Terror Map and Global Incident map useful. They show everything from right-wing groups to environmental and animal rights extremists who use terrorist tactics.

That's a very neat map! A few things I noticed right away:
Reply
1) Nothing, zero, nada, in Colorado
2) Significantly higher incident rate in the Northern U.S. vs the South (the unspoken and supposed hotbed of white supremist activity)
3) Hoaxes are counted on par with actual incidents. Not sure I'd agree with that.-

Not sure of the usefulness of these maps in regards to racist activity. The vast majority have to do with international terrorist groups.
