Posted By Stringcheese 1 year, 3 months ago in NewsThe Democratic governor, also on the ballot this year, said he thinks those who vote on the gun issue alone will be equally troubled by McCain and Obama. He said neither is perfect with the National Rifle Association scorecard - McCain has received a “C” and Obama an “F.”

Speaking as a 2nd Amendment activist, I don't think Barr will get too much support from gun owners since the Supreme Court ruled that the 2nd Amendment was indeed an individual right and individuals do have a right to keep and bear arms this has become a secondary issue. That is not to say the fight ends here, no, but the fight will mostly be in the states to repel gun control laws.

Speaking as a 2nd Amendment activist, I don't see any real support coming from gun owners for Barr. Since the Supreme Court ruled that indeed the 2nd Amendment does give individuals the right to keep and bear arms this has become a secondary issue on the federal level. The fight is now with individual states to discard and repel gun control laws.

Truthfully I don't know anyone who is voting on the gun issue or is that effected by it.

We have hunters and sportsmen in the area, it could be an issue with them. Since the
state passed the "make my day" bill we haven't heard much about guns. You can even get a license to carry a gun after taking a safety course and purchasing it, don't know why the average guy would need to carry a gun, I never would carry a gun just because I could.. This ammendment is not for everyone believe me, especially hotheads and rednecks. -
