You are absolutely right, Charlson. President Bush has already explained to everybody that "Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists." Any country claiming neutrality must, by (Bush) definition, be with the terrorists.

" we've [Russia] had an angry alcoholic and a guy who makes Michael Corleone look like a box full of puppies."

Sounds a bit like our government; just that we've had an incompetent drunk (GWB) and Cheney, who makes "Michael Crleaone look like a box of puppies." -

This administration singled out Georgia for the "Our Best Buddy in the Caucasus" award. But it's all gone disastrously wrong for our best buddies, and we're sitting on the sidelines, offering empty reassurances to the Georgians and empty threats to the Russians.

As a republican to the core I'll concede this is just another example of Bush's disastrous foreighn policy. If it were not for Obama's socialist tendencies and his dislike for America's need for American oil I would sit this election out!-

"His dislike for America's need for oil"??? Do you have a dislike for your sister's need for heroin? I'm not saying she has one, but really, is your question any different? I'm being a little harsh because you're furthering a lie that Obama is a socialist. If you don't like him because he's black, or whatever, just state your case, but don't just out and out lie.

Hmm. Maybe the republicons aren't copying the methods of the German fascists, but the Russian communists. -

So the leaders of the New Russia are not evil also?
Reply
Oh I get it they, Putin and etc are not real evil, they are 'imaginary' evil.
Only Bush & Co. can be evil.
Ok got it.
No problem.
But I wonder how all those Georgian civilians caught 'in the cross fire'; dying directly by being shot or bombed, or dying because of 'collateral damage' or running for cover or hitting the refugee trail would define 'evil' at the moment?
Oh, ok got it; since Bush & Co did this in Iraq then Bush and Co. told Putin that it was ok to do the same in Georgia.
Bush and Putin on the same side!!!!!!!
So you could be right! This is Bush's new Iraq!!!!!!
An' all along we thought Bush would go for Iran.
Fooled us didn't he.
By the way Ind good article; what would Rasputin think of this bunch.

What are you guys going to have to talk about when Bush leaves office? I don't particularly like the man, but I have to wonder how he can be responsible for so much. Last I checked, he's not God, so he can't be that influential. He's too boring to be the devil, so really, what's the deal.

This is all on Russia. If anyone is suprised after all the people Putin's had killed in his own country, I have to wonder what you're smokin'.-

Under the new president, whoever he may turn out to be, we'll still be in Iraq, we'll still have a fubar'd economy, and we'll still have a police state.
Fear not, there will be plenty to talk about. Let's hope it's not just talk.

That Putin took the occasion of Saakashvili's provocative and stupid stunt to administer an extra dose of punishment is undeniable. But is not Russian anger understandable? For years the West has rubbed Russia's nose in her Cold War defeat and treated her like Weimar Germany.

Peace loving and ultra human rights giant USA sitting on dead bodies in IRAQ. Unfortunately, the dead bodies include hundreds of thousands of women and children who have died from bombs.

What US did to Georgia was to let it bite Russia as an attack dog with a long leash. Unfortunately, Russia was able to suck the dog and finish it.
