    Oh, interesting.

    Freedom to me is not the opportunity to do business as long as massive regulation makes it impossible without a fortune. It's not having nearly half our national income taken through various taxes. It's not the country's natural resources, the character of its people, or its beauty that has made it special.

    There's plenty of other countries that could boast of similar things.

    The essence of freedom - what would make America unique in the world is an abundance of something rarely found in other countries:

    Freedom from government interfering in our day to day lives. Freedom from government sapping our national wealth. Freedom from government telling us what to do, what we can eat, who we can buy from.

    In fact, we have to work more than the first half of the year just to pay our taxes. Are you really free if you work 6 months for government and 6 for yourself?

    Maybe you think so. I don't.
