How's congress coming along with fixing or scrapping the Patriot Act? Or are we still expected to give in to the government every time they say "boo".

    I think American's are in denial and Congress HAS been gutless.
    I sure didn't get the Congressional action I expected - even though
    many of those we rooted for WERE elected.
    Waxman and Levin and others have had the hearings that confirmed
    abuses of power. They exposed the use of taxpayer dollars being
    used to work against the welfare of the public, and SO much more.
    I'm so excited - NOW, it's going to change!
    Then DOJ says they're not going to do anything - our guys do not have a veto-proof majority - those subpoenaed to testify thumb their nose at
    the Committees, and what the Hell happened to Pelosi and Hoyer?
    See - I was part of their "ORIGNIAL" base - not the one they are trying
    to attract now. Been a very bad week for me - I'm still wondering where
    the presidential candidate I voted for in the primaries went!
