The latest version of Firefox (3.0.1) is ok. The article applies to previous versions of Firefox.

Good info ameliog, thanks. Something squirrelly was going on with my firefox earlier today, fine connection but nothing would load, but it has passed now. (I do have the latest version, so I guess it was just one of those things...)

Although it doesn't apply to the issues in the story, Microsoft is usually one of my primary suspects when the PC acts up. I look for spam/virus, recent driver updates or installation, then MS updates. I've heard from several people in recent weeks, cursing specific programs that were acting up, and the cause ended up being a MS update.

WOW! I didn't know there was an update since mine always updates automatically. Just installed the new version and I'm good to go. It's a whole new experience.
