Shares of mortgage-finance giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac fell in Monday morning trading after a report over the weekend said that the U.S. Treasury is increasingly to recapitalize the struggling companies in the months ahead, using taxpayer money and probably wiping out existing stockholders
