I chuckled at your comment about a child that continues the family line if the only father dies.

There was a time when I thought that the family line was going to die with my husband (as he is the only son of an only son).

Well, surprise!!!!

We are the minority that don't fit into the general rule. We have 3 boys.

I guess there has to always be someone(s) who go "against the grain" ;-) .
