If this was the old west, I'd say get a rope and string up the mascot...thanks god it wasn't only me! I had pm's and emails from certain fellow members who professed the same problems of logging in too! Realizer is right! The original Netscape never should've been tinkered or messed with. "If the toy ain't broke, don't fix it." The groups that are used here seems too "cliqueish" for my taste, and members here DO have the right to know who's out there posing and negging their comments, and don't take me to the recent addition of public messages in your profile...cause you don't wanna hear it from me how I feel about that too!

Oh how much I wish I could sink!!!!! There is stuff making the front page that is pure garbage with no comments.

Also, I don't think the home page is fair and balanced any more. If we had a few more basic categories like Health, Environment, etc. and they would make sure that at least 2 from each category was on the front page it would be a lot fairer.-

1) Too much politics. WAY too much politics, and all of it with a decidedly ugly tone.
Reply
Every thread reads like it's coming from the same post.
2) Please bring back page numbers. I still find the comment string breaking down when it gets near 300 in number. I am unable to access some of my own comments, even those that appear in my "Comments" string.
3) Please insert category titles with the story blurbs so I can tell what category a post is coming from. It helps me identify spam and it helps others identify my posts as humor.
4) Please restore the top stories banner, if, for no other reason than to keep the Week In Review post up for more than a single day. You are crippling that post's function as a community gather place as well as a community resource.
5) Please reinstate the "You have a message" banner. It doesn't have to be that grape purple, but it was nice to be told when I had a message.
6) Please restore the duplicate stories checker on posting. I have seen many posts duplicated.
7) Please give us back the ability to block a member's comments. Everyone on this site has other members they would just as soon not deal with, in the interest of keeping at least this member's blood pressure down, please bring this feature back.
8) The SPAM detector is still "over-enthusiastic", my comment "I'm glad you liked it cowboygrandpa :)" was marked and removed as spam. I am not a spammer, nor have I ever spammed this site. Not even a little bit. I do not appreciate having some robotic thing accuse me of being something I am not, then summarily judge and publicly label a perfectly acceptable comment as spam, on the thread for my own post no less.
9) Have beady-eyed Professor spin head join the unemployed cartoon character's union.
10) Please bring back the ability to see who neg'd and pos'd a comment.
I must say, you guys have done very well, this list used to be TWENTY-FIVE points long, now it's down to a mere ten. I still regard these ten as important, however, and hope that you are still willing to make improvements to the site.

I had a very mild Czech story on "real" propeller, which ran smoothly and politely and then the while darn thing was removed posthumously for breach of TOU!

With all the serious problems going on it seemed pedantic and selfish to be making a fuss about a minor personal problem bit what's that about?!
As for that "mascot"... ..... .....
[expletives deleted!]
I still have a groan moment every time I open up - when it opens :) -

Calm down EE. Take a deep breathe. We are all experiencing loss of submits, props and comments. (by the hundreds I might add) I've been told that it's a glitch and being worked on. It will all come out in the wash so sit back and try not to look. That's what I've done.

"(by the hundreds I might add)", LOL, I have lost over a thousand of my brilliant and insightful comments!! But I noticed that the people I was in between are still up there with their numbers, now I am slowly fading in a downward "spin" in cyberspace.

...when first I saw the title my semi-conscious mind superimposed an 'R' so it read "Propeller.com outRages" and I thought 'He's just now noticing???Gads, he must be REALLY busy..."
