Dionys, If you read his policies, he's clearly in the socialist court. Since he's played the Chicago political stage, perhaps he's closer to a communist. What yours is the state's which I control and what's mine since I'm a party boss is mine. He's big into supporting reductions in my take home pay to cover the costs of those who won't or don't work.

I read what is on his web site to tell people what he wants to accomplish. His proposals will do big time spending. Deficit now will look small. To offset this he will have to raise taxes to the level that will make Clinton's biggest ever tax hike seem small.

In other words - spend, spend, spend, spend, tax, tax, tax.
Tax companies big time. That way everybody gets to pay the hidden taxes while they are "punishing" those evil companies for having a profit. The problem is that companies really don't pay the taxes. Their customers pay their taxes.

The problem is where to draw the line. President Johnson declared war on poverty in order to build the "Great Society". We have spent trillions doing that. One welfare program after the other so now it is the biggest part of spending. Did we defeat poverty in the US or lower the % of population considered in poverty? NO

With that backdrop why add more and more entitlements to fix a problem where so much money is being spent already. Liberals look at a problem and their ONLY solution is to throw money at it. Good intentions in the war on poverty have cause a major problem in various areas. One area is what ADC has done to the poor blacks. In the early 60's they were close nit families. Now the family structure has been torn apart. The rules of ADC say that to get benefits there can be no man living there. So girls that got pregnant could get a place to live, food,etc. Others saw this and figured out to get out from under mom and dads control all they had to do was get pregnant. Then the more kids the more they got as aid. This became a way of life for generations now. Girls having babies and boys getting "notches" for fathering children without any responsibility. This is ghetto life these days. I had my face rubbed in it while I was a foster parent in the Detroit metro area.
What Liberals never think about is how people change their behavior in order to get the handouts. Unintended consequences. This causes disruption in the fabric of our society.

It has to make you wonder doesn't it? I have noticed both sides of this debate spinning everything that is said by the other candidate. The true master of this art was Slick Willy. I have learned. I know exactly what will happen if BO gets elected, taxes will go up, my take home pay will go down to pay for his socialist programs.

Both parties spend too much if you ask me.
The answer to your question, we didn't vote 2 years ago and the Democrats won both houses for the very reason that the Republicans that were in charge indeed spent way too much money.

protoham, you are using the the argument that the ends justifies the means. The great problem with it is that the means one uses to reach an end affects the end that you reach. If you lie to bring about a particular result, at least some people will know you are lying and cease to trust you in the future. Also, if you are successful, it will increase the temptation to lie the next time. Already a substantial portion of the American public and an even larger proportion of the world population consider the republican party to be the party of liars.

I have seen what happens when the Dems have full control. I have see what happens when Reps have full control. The best years in this country are when the two do not match.
Right now Dems have congress so I want a Rep to control the white house.

If the candidates had their parties reversed, McCain's signed false confession while a POW in Vietnam would be an overlay on Fox news 18 hours out of a 24 hour day. We don't play politics the way the neofascists do, and you guys have a projection syndrome where everything you accuse the left of (big spending, big government, no fiscal responsibility, unpatriotic, cowardly, against America) is actually much more aptly associated with Republican politicians and their policies.

All I can say if Obamanation is elected, those who voted for him will get exactly what they deserve, HIGHER TAXES, more of your hard earned pay going to those that do not want to work just so they can be equal to you, Socialized health care (wont it be great for you to go to the ER and have to wait for hours to get in because someone that does not have insurance goes there for a headach or something stupid like that).

Where is the money going to come from to pay for all the illegal aliens so they can be made equal to YOU economically (gee.....who here has to take random drug testing to be able to keep your job, and then the govt. takes about half of your takehome pay and gives it to someone who doesnt want to work and NEVER is required to random drug testing.) I never do... I watch out local news, ABC news which is quite liberally slanted...
I reached my own conclusions about Hussin Obama... I agree he may not really be muslim... but he sure don't ring of christianity either...
The church he did claim (until he had to bow out to save his own skin) was the most hate racist thing I've ever seen... Hussin O. claims to have never heard his pastor say such anti american things ever before.... WELL PERHAPS THAT'S BECAUSE HE DON'T LISTEN... IF he was there he's heard it..and simply chose to ignore. hell he probably agreed... his own darn wife said she had never had respect for America before...(until her hubby had a shot at being top dog) then it won't so bad. ...
He has NO experience... he's a risk...

67% of Americans think "In God We Trust" on the money doesn't violate the principle of separation of church and state, and 65% believe in demons. I'd say 12% is a sign that an above average amount of conscious thought is being used--unfortunately.

I'm a Christian, White American. However, if my name were something like (Chin Lee), people may get the impression that I was Chinese. It's all in his name. (Barrack Husane Obama). Sounds much like a mix between Osama and Saddam! So, I can understand why people may think he's a Muslim. We all know he is not, but his name gives the impression that he is Muslim. Heck, even Fox News is making it very clear he is not a Muslim. But some people just don't want to hear the truth. Seems many people only beleive what they want to beleive. For those people, there is no changing thier minds. I do find it interesting that most media refuses to use his middle name.

Well, I don't see them referring to McCain as John Sidney McCain. Dubya is usually referred to as George W. Bush to avoid confusion with that other President Bush. -

The problem is that there was a time that he was raised as a Muslim. Before his fathar left him and went to Harvard he was raised a Muslim. His mother married a man and went to live in Indonesia and he was raised as a Muslim during that time. His brother Malik Obama has a picture of him wearing traditional Muslim garb with him and another man when they met in 1985.

This does not mean that he is now a Muslim but it makes him a Muslim apostate. Under Sharia law an apostate is to be killed and the government is not allowed to protect them.
