Comments for The odd choices in Barack Obama's career »
Posted By pc25 1 year, 4 months ago in NewsIt's time to throw my hat in the ring as regards predicting the election results. So here it is: Barack Obama will be defeated. Seriously and convincingly defeated. Not due to racism, not due to the forces of reaction, not even due to Karl Rove sending out mind rays over the national cable system. He will lose for one reason above all, one that has been overlooked in any analysis that I've yet seen. BARACK OBAMA WILL LOOSE BECAUSE HE IS A FLAKE.

A flake is not only a screwup, but someone who truly excels in making bizarre errors and creating incredibly convoluted disasters.A flake is a "fool with energy", as the Russian proverb puts it. ("A fool is a terrible thing to have around, but a fool with energy is a nightmare".)
Barack Obama is a flake, and the American people have begun to see it.-

Just the latest Repugnant Con tactic. Spin and lie, spin and lie while Rome burns. Considering how many of Obama's tactics regarding Iraq, the economy, world policy, diplomacy and US law Bush and his cronies have been embracing lately, Barack Obama's already running the country.

Definition of a flake, taken from Webster's...
Reply
"a crazy or eccentric person"
Obama certainly doesn't fit that description at all, now does he? He's not at all crazy in the sense as being mentally deranged, possibly with aggressive or violent overtones. Even crazy like a fox, that doesn't ring true either...
Eccentric implies unconventional...Ok...even if Obama is unconventional, many people are...many of them highly intelligent and creative. His opponent is certainly eccentric, and intelligent...and he appears more eccentric because of his memory lapses and inability to answer simple questions put to him...but that's only because of his age, I think, nothing more...
All in all, another weak attempt by a writer to scare people, not actually inform them...-

Has anyone asked John McCain if in all that time he was cheating on his first wife, and during the time he was sewing wild oats in Viet Nam, and then before that during the time he was sewing wild oats in Panama and elsewhere if any of the women he left in the lurch were forced into back-alley abortions. And if so, did any of the lose their lives in a back-alley abortion?

A flake is someone who agrees to consider write the bible into the constitution. If we are going to do that we should define marriage as a PERMANT LIFE LONG relationship between a man and a women and make divorce illegal in every state in the USA.
If Barrack Obama is a flake John McCain is wastal.

I liked this:

You think that's good? I try to make it a habit to read the comments made on the original article. I found quite a few on this one, but this comment stuck out as plain as day:
Reply
"Poor Lisa,
Please address the issue of the article His Flakiness the Lord Barack Most High. At least George McGovern will live long enough too see someone whose a bigger flake and bigger loser than he.
And again I challenge any lib to put your money where your mouth is. I'll lay any amount on Johnny Mack to win and with 300+ electoral votes."

The Lisa he is refering to is another commenter who tried to explain and defend Obama's "present" votes to no avail.
Any takers on this mans offer?-

The comments made on the original article tend to make me sad for the future of the world.

I prefer propeller where the obscenities tend to be kept to a minimum and people usually show some semblance of respect. (And once in a while, rational thinking)

The victory tour of Europe, and the speech in which Obama declared himself "citizen of the world", a trope guaranteed to focus the attention of Middle America. His inept handling of Hillary, in which he wound up appearing frightened of the opponent he'd just beaten. Allowing Hillary (and her husband there, what's-his-name) a starring role in the Democratic convention is not a solution any sane individual would be comfortable with -- much less a roll-call vote. This threatens the near-certainty of turning the entire affair into BillandHillarycon, with the nominee winding up as a footnote. But it's all of a piece with the campaign Obama has waged up until now.

you're delusional and in denial. He is going to win back Hillary's voters

not likely,(see the hot air article) and even less likely if it is true he has chosen Kathleen Sebelius for Vice President

you should follow your own advice and read, on top of which his polling numbers are in free fall (10 points this past month) mainly due to the many points that the American Thinker articles touches on. He is a FLAKE and the American public has caught on big time.-

you are the guys that have patented the KOOL AID line.......check most of the more liberal posters these past 2 years. I'm just borrowing it.......this man is a phony, a fraud, a flake and America is finally waking up to the truth. He is down in todays polls by 5 points. When he speaks on issues he never speaks to the issues he speaks arounnd the issues as evidenced by his ans at the Saddleback forum. I will grant him this he does speak to the EMOTIONAL side of a campaign but never to the rational and logical side of a campaign.

What he gave were facts that back up his viewpoint. Those are real facts and not made up things. This author just pointed out things that were bothering me about Obama.

He left out a fact that Obama was warned by Rev. Wright. He was a young legislator at the time. Rev Wright told him that the people going to the black churches and others in the area would be angry with him associating himself with that church. He joined anyway. Most other churches would not have been a problem. That makes no sense for a politician to align himself with a church that would make him look bad especially when he was warned it would happen.
Raised in Hawaii Goes to a prestigious law school and was Editor of the School Journal. The fact that he made no submissions to the journal makes no sense. That often propels people into more prestigious firms. Then he hires into a law firm in Chicago representing some sleazy people like Rezco. He could have had the pick of almost anywhere in the country with his college career. But he chose a city known widely for corruption. This makes no sense.
Several things he did make no sense. That is a problem.-

Interesting post, but not too much meaning.

First his decision to go to Chicago rather than Hawaii is easily explained. He could have wanted to change the city for the better knowing how corrupt and racist it is. Do I know if this is why he went there? Nope. But do you know he went their because it was corrupt? Nope.
The issue of the church has been talked about, debated and strung out already. Was it a good choice for him to be in the church? I personally don't think so. Rev. Wright is very controversial and IMO hes racist. Obama claims he has strong family ties with the Reverend, and has referred to him as an uncle. I think this issue has already been played out in this election so its pretty much useless now.
I have never seen Obama take this black libertarian oath and I haven't seen any actions that hes done to prove otherwise. Even as president, if he does try to implement those beliefs, anything unfair would be easily blocked by Congress. Remember, the pres doesn't have the power to do whatever it wants.
Sometimes a present vote is a good way in protesting a bill. If he likes the intentions of the bill, but he sees a lot of pork in it or something he doesn't like, instead of voting no and it looking like he opposes the idea of the bill, he can vote present. I'm not saying this is what he did, but isn't it possible?
Most of the arguments in the article are actually pretty weak......
Personally I don't think Obama will win the election. I think his policies don't add up and hes going to fall apart soon. He's too inexperienced and hes going to be raising taxes. I don't think tax increases for federal programs is what this country needs. -

Don't forget to add the part where a couple getting married must swear to try to have children, it is, after all, the basic building block of the family. Those who are sterile or infertile should not be allowed to marry, since they can't have kids. And those who fail to produce offspring should have their marital rights removed.
