That's prolly because Germany wasn't even a country until around the 19th century... I think the Russians got a few invasions off back when Germany was still the Holy Roman Empire and then a series of nation-states that shared a common culture :D

But I must protest your inference that yellow balls do not know much history and stuff.
Yellow balls practically mostly INVENTED history and stuff that sounds like history.
Anyone who knows history knows that many famous history persons have said on many historically famously historical occasions that absent the ballish and yellow there would be no history to be historical in!
In conclusion I would like to assert that well known triginometric function: ball + yellow = SMART
I'd like to see you make your "sun gate" without triginometry! HA!-

Everyone knows that Ind's health is slowly deteriorating.
Yet, Ind is still in a state of denial over this.
You see, Ind has Jaundice. This is why he's yellow. His whole freakin body is yellow.
I told him long ago to get this checked out by a doctor.
But NO! Ind refuses.
He keeps telling everyone that it's just a body tattoo.
Wake up and smell the coffee, Ind.
Geez... some people.

A Polish family came to America for the first time. They were seen driving on the expressway and coming towards my city. All of a sudden, they approached a sign that said, Chicago LEFT
So they turned around and went back to Poland.

haha. Not so funny: I was driving to near St. Louis starting in Wisconsin for a family reunion a few weeks back. My parents were driving one car and my brothers and I were in another communicating back and forth via cell phone. The 94,90,39 exchange south of Beloit was insane with construction and seems to be a bad spot anyway. We kept telling my folks to follow the signs that say "chicago" vs. whatever was west on 90. So once we hit the first set of toll booths in northern Illinois, they continued to follow the signs to chicago... instead of going south on 39 towards St. Louis. haha. It took them an hour to back track through the tolls and the mess to get going correctly again.
Reply
My dad joked he would rather go to a Cubs game than the family reunion anyway. hehe.

Since when do we owe it to Russia to let them have their way or any say in Poland? I think we all remember how that worked out the last time a Democrat did that. Certainly the Poles do. I would draw the line by not putting missiles in former USSR states. But that does not include former Soviet bloc states, particularly those with no direct border on Russia proper.
Reply
There is no more threat to Russia from Poland--even if these were offensive missiles, which they're not--than from any number of Trident submarines plying the Arctic or Pacific.-

History. The Americans installed missile bases in Turkey, right next to the Soviet Union. That alarmed the Russians. So they installed missiles in Cuba. The Americans got alarmed and threatened a nuclear holocaust. So the Russians withdrew their missiles and the Americans claimed victory. Then withdrew their missiles from Turkey. That was in 1963.

They withdrew those missiles because they were being retired and were replaced by new missiles in Turkey. Check your history.
According to what I see on this thread you liberals think Russia should be able to tell everyone else what to do. Russia has a huge problem getting along in the world and would rather be a bully than a team player but, of course, it's all George Bush and **** Cheney's fault. Sickos-

Rice goes deeper into the absurd
It's hardly news the U.S. espouses standards that it routinely violates, but still, even in light of such routine hypocrisy, wouldn't you think that this , from Condoleezza Rice today, on an airplane to U.S. reporters while traveling to a NATO meeting, would be too brazen to utter....
...Whatever one's views are on the justifiability of each isolated instance, it's simply a fact that the U.S. invades, bombs, occupies, and interferes in the internal affairs of other countries far more than any other country on the planet. It's not even a close competition.
Just during the time Rice has served in the Bush administration, we bombed, invaded and occupied Afghanistan; did the same to Iraq; repeatedly bombed Somalia, killing all sorts of civilians; fed bombs to Israel as they invaded and bombed Lebanon; top political officials (led by John McCain and Joe Lieberman) have repeatedly threatened, and advocated, that the same be done to a whole host of other countries, including Iran and Syria. That's to say nothing of the virtually countless interventions and bombings in the pre-Bush, "peacetime" years -- from the Balkans and Panama to Somalia, Iraq, Libya, Sudan, and on and on and on.
The most enduring and predominant rule of American politics is that every national politician must demonstrate their willingness, even eagerness, to start wars. ...

Reagan Republican: Are You Ready For Nuclear War?
To keep the billions of dollars in profits flowing to its contributors in the US military-security complex, the Bush Regime has rekindled the cold war. As American living standards decline and prospects for university graduates deteriorate, “our” leaders in Washington commit us to a hundred years of war.

Um, what does hip-hop and break dancing have to do with being born in the sixties?
Break dancing became popular in the early 1980's. The hip-hop culture started in the Bronx in the mid-70's, but some will debate that by a few years. Hip-hop music first started with the Jamaicans, then received nationwide attention from the late 70's thru the early 80's.

Righties actually really think that America needs all the enemies it can get in order to survive, just ask them..They drool more enemies and oil wars even if the means the Poles could soon melt.. They(righties) are dead serious too, Russia right now is probably selling weapons to Syria and elsewhere in retaliation against Israel for helping Georgia and America helping Poland.. Alot of these people that want these errors and war soooo much suffer bunkeritis and its the easiest way for them to have a stay in power...

My Government in 1939 gave a guarantee to Poland to protect them in the event of Hitler attacking them. This was a guarantee that had no credibility. When Hitler attacked we declared war on Germany and could do nothing to protect the Poles.
The result after 6 years of war was that the British Empire eventually disappeared [aided and abetted by the US]. Your fate will be the same. Do you want to disappear in a nuclear cloud because you would wish to support another country? The author of this article seems to forget that the Polish people were enslaved by Nazi Germany and later Stalin's Russia/Soviet Union and as such are the only ones truly qualified to determine if the risk of closer ties with the U.S. and the security benefits the relationship provides outweigh the consequences of increased animosity with Russia! It was Poland that fought Nazi tanks on horseback to buy time for the rest of Europe to react to Nazi ambitions and then was sold out when Stalin refused to leave and the West refused to force him out. It was Poland, more than any other east bloc country that risked massive consequences by electing a leader that refused to be a Soviet puppet. It was Poland cooperating with the Reagan/Bush 41 administrations and the Vatican that kicked the beginning of the end game for the cold war into high gear. Poland should be admired for the stand it is now taking curtailing the ambitions of its powerful lawless aggressive neighbor! Americans should take pride in the confidence Poland's decision demonstrates that they have in the power and commitment of America's people, military, diplomacy and economy to respond to consequences beyond rhetoric that their decision risks!

And so we ignore again the Armenians to not insult Turkey . Say what you will about Ronald Reagan , he stood up to the world and called it a genocide , that is , what happened to the populations in the early part of last century . No one has balls enough today to call it what it is . The President , Yes , him too. The current contenders to the Crown won't say how they will adress the matter of formal recognition of mass murders by the Turks of Armenian populations .
