For soldiers returning with Traumatic Brain Injury or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, things can be particularly difficult, especially when it comes to finding work.

I know how hard it can be to get back to civilian life. Some of us don't make it. Sometimes the pain and despair is too great and when they do not find someone qualified to talk to, they will take their lives. It happens far too often; their deaths and emotional disturbances are frequently silenced because of the taboo and stigma associated.

In addition to overcoming the personal obstacle of willingness and denial, competent resources for this adjustment are especially limited and hard to find for these young people. We need to do better. They deserved it. -
