Posted By Neophile 1 year, 4 months ago in Science & TechnologyThe maker of touch-screen voting machines used in half of Ohio's counties has admitted that its own programming error is to blame for votes being dropped in some counties. The problem can't be fixed before the Nov. 4 election.

That explains how Dumbya got elected in 2004.

Do you remember the promise by then Diebold CEO Walden O'Dell at a Republican fund raiser in 2003 that Ohio will deliver the electoral votes to Bush/Cheney 2004, and also to Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell that the election "Will be taken care of!"?.
$250,000 in campaign contributions to Bush/Cheney 2004 by their CEO O'Dell, Blackwell choosing Diebold's machines and the purposely botched voting and disenfranchising of voters had that sinister effect of raping and mutilating our democracy!
Blackwell may still be tried in the courts and find his cell in the federal "Guest House" when the new administration takes over.
Here is an interesting link to the horrible saga of stolen Ohio elections:

Read and post it on your wall.
In another story on this channel, Susan Eisenhower, the grand-daughter of Ike tells why she decided to leave the Republican Party for good, and decided to support Obama.
We will probably need a special bench of Federal Court to bring all these criminals to justice, something BEYOND the reach of the current, corrupted SCOTUS. -

From the article: 'The problem can't be fixed before the Nov. 4 election, so Premier Election Solutions and Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner are issuing guidelines to counties for how to avoid the problem.
Reply
"We will continue to monitor the situation and provide boards of elections with the instruction and support they need to ensure an orderly and efficient election and an accurate count of Ohioans' votes," Brunner said in a memo released today.'
So after all this, they are still planning to use these machines? Amazing. -

Funny how the losers in the election assumes that it was their votes that did not upload. It is simple to check the paper trail that IS generated by the Diebold machines against the computer totals. That is why the machines with paper backup will be used this Fall, besides it's too late now to change the machines to optical scanners. Again, the Ohio Secretary of State knew about this potential problem for how long now?? Nothing like waiting until the last minute so they can cry foul in the Fall. Instead she'll issue instructions to check the computer totals against the paper totals so she can be a Dudley Doright and "save the day".

Interesting that Dino Rossi, the Republican who lost the WA State Governor election is claiming the last election was stolen, albeit he has no evidence and their were no paper-less Diebold machines to screw up the count.

In 2004, votes from four counties in Ohio were reported beyond any statistical margin of error compared to the exit polls. This is the same system that Bush used to attack other world leaders for election fraud. The additionally statistical impossibility about this issue is that all four counties went to Bush. Just a coincidence, right? Oh, and where were your paper trail Diebold machines then?
Actually, I strongly believe that before Nov 8th HP, Lexmark, Canon, and/or Epson could easily come up with a system of scanned paper votes that could be counted both electronically and then physically if necessary. It is not that hard a thing to do.
Nothing like waiting til the last minute so you can ensure the election is bogus.

Why do we put up with these corruptible machines? When millions of Americans Bank DAILY online with NO PROBLEMS, and millions more buy and sell stock and all sorts of consumer goods online DAILY with NO PROBLEMS. Why can't we use the same Internet SECURITY systems, of I.D.'s and Passwords to CAST OUR BALLOTS, and then PRINT OUT or SAVE a copy of "our" BALLOT as a RECEIPT? If the Internet is SECURE enough for us to bank, and buy and sell nearly everything, then it is SECURE enough for us to VOTE. And those of us who want to bypass these DIEBOLT "trick boxes" should be able to do so. Isn't it amazing how these DIEBOLT machines only make 'mistakes' that benefit Republicans?
