    Well, everything is even>>>>

No, nothing is "even." The gop is the most despicable bunch ever to darken this country. There is NO comparison.

i'm afraid to say, jordan, that it's not necessarily because dems are better people than repubs. repubs are just more authoritarian and therefore present a more unified front. they are also more openly hypocritical, but the dems NOT angels by any definition.

cleare, if you wanted to experience authoritarianism, you should have been around in Lyndon Johnson's administration. He was an overbearing and lewd bulldozer (and Kennedy picked him for his veep). Notice that leftism run amok is just as authoritarian as rightism run amok.

And Bobby Kennedy (dem) was in cahoots with Joe McCarthy (rep), who ruined countless lives with accusations of communist activity. So sometimes they get together to freak out.

That depends on what you happen to be looking at. In many ways the Democrats have lead the way in the centralization of power particularly in domestic issues. The two parties just phrase things a little differently and focus on shifting control to the Federal Government in different ways.

Grancher, you are right on. In fact, both the Republicans and Democrats love BIG government. They just differ in which parts to make big at any given moment.

The DOJ has grown under both, especially with all those dangerous stoners out there. But now our jails are full of them, and we have no room for the child molesters, so they run loose.
