    "1. Doesn't help in a battleground state."

I agree he's taking a chance here but my sense is that there was no candidate he felt met all his requirements

"2. Is on record as saying great things about McCain."

--McCain praised Hillary and said she'd make a good President. I guess this means he's doomed.

"3. Is on record as saying that Obama is not prepared for the job."

--Wait...It's a weakness to compliment McCain and a weakness to criticize Obama? Is this your first election, Jose?

"4. Makes the case for "Change" a bit moredifficult since he's been in Congress a decade longer than McCain."

--Or maybe your definition of what represents "change" is just a bit too narrow?

"5. Makes Obama look like a real lightweight in comparison."

Uhh...Ok, what *evidence* do you have that this is a liability? You people already think he's a lightweight. You'd say that no matter what. Anyway, I think one of the reasons Biden was picked is because he was one of the youngest people ever elected to Congress (he was the minimum age of 30 when he first got elected) and probably was viewed with some of the same skepticism Obama now confronts. Biden will be great. Just like Cheney smacked around Democrats (I'm ashamed to acknowledge), Biden knows McCain and Congress backwards and forwards. If any Republicans still *have* jobs after November, Biden will be using them as punching bags. This is an excellent choice and you cons all know it.

      1. There has been a slow gradual slide from Obama to McCain. Obama desperately needs help to slow and stop this trend. Does Biden do this? I don't think so.

2 + 3. And who do you think will be showing those statements in the campaign?

      4. According to Obama's web site his "Hope and Change" are very far left. Will Biden moderate this extreme version of hope and change?

      5. Any time Obama says things without a teleprompter he does bad. That last debate had him saying something that will haunt him for all of this campaign. "That question is above my pay grade" What an answer in a presidential debate. What pay grade is above the president? He also utters a lot of sounds before saying words and sometimes puts more sounds between words. Not the characteristic of someone who knows the subject.

--LMAO. Why do you desperate cons bother rewording your posts when the content is the same in every one?

Here, let me save you the trouble, I authorize all you cons to use my intellectual property:

        ------------------------Cut and Paste-----------------------------------

"McCain will win. Obama will lose. McCain is Good. Obama is black...er, I mean Bad. McCain has fought our agenda and is not a conservative but he's a registered Republican, he says he's changed (which used to be a really bad thing in Republicans' eyes) and he really, really wants the job so close enough. We know "nothing" about Obama except that he's bla...er, different from us. And even though Bush turned out not to be what we thought he was by the end of his first term, he was a registered Republican. Plus, he is white so we trust him implicitly. We don't trust those white liberals, though. Unless they're "reformed" and now registered Republicans (hush, that's not a flipflop). So we rewarded Bush (he's soooo misunderstood...nobody knows the trouble I seeeed) with a second term (knowing full well that it would have made more sense to vote for a freaking tree stump than to vote for Bush again). We won't vote for Obama because he's black. We aren't racist but we do think Obama should shine our shoes for the simple fact that he's even allowed to run for office, the ingrate. So "uppity" and "elitist" that Obama (not like our candidate with...oh, who cares how many houses, right?) He doesn't have time to worry about what it must've sounded like to people whose first and/or only home is in foreclosure. But we digress...We can't substantiate much of our POV but we're only here to make noise, bluster, bluff and generally be the same obnoxious fear mongers you've gotten to know over the last 20 years since our hero Reagan left office and then died. Why, God? Whhhhhhhhy?! OMG...REAGAAAAAAN! Come back to us, Ronnie. Look, Ronnie, we'll dig you up, and stuff and mount you (in whichever order...guess it doesn't matter) and play Weekend at Bernie's (maybe Psycho would be more appropriate, though) for 8 years. It could work...Nancy is sick to death of our party too...She'll never be the wiser. *sob* Oy...So, Deep down, we know Bush sucked in every conceivable way but we will not give you evil libbies the satisfaction of winning another election after our hopes and dreams have been dashed because of our extremely poor judgement. Plus we *really* want that cheap gasoline again (even if it was way the hell cheaper under Clinton--stop nitpicking you libbies!). GRRRRRRRRR

        fondly,

        I.M.N.E Old Con
