In recent days, John McCain has said that the folks he considers rich are the ones with assets of more than $5 million. And he also apparently has forgotten the number of houses he owns.

Compare this to Joe Biden who in 2005 was ranked 99th out of 100 senators in terms of personal wealth.
And amazingly in 2006, Open Secrets lists Biden as 108th out of all US Senators (i.e., negative 8! How did he do that?) with a near negative value on total income and assets.
Biden has not enriched himself through marriage, book deals, land swaps, or even betting on Intrade.-

Second, Biden has run for President SEVERAL times and NO ONE whether they are Republicans or Democrats want this man to be President. HE definitely has had some SERIOUS HEALTH PROBLEMS including 2 BRAIN ANURYSMS (sp?) and you hypocrites keep talking about John McCain's age.....what about Biden's? Biden is 65 years old!!!
Biden even said in one of his debates with Obama that OBAMA was not qualified to be president. (There couldn't be MORE TRUTH to that statement!!!) Also, you should know that Obama had a chance for a DREAM TICKET, and instead, he picks a guy who also likes John McCain and said, "I would be honored to serve with my friend, JOHN McCAIN". This pick just proves that all the pundits and all the people who said OBAMA doesn't have the experience in National Security to be President, were right on!!
Another thing, HE could have picked HILLARY CLINTON and had the DREAM TICKET and possibly a SURE WIN, but instead, he chooses Biden who received only 9,500 votes......compared to Clinton's 18 MILLION votes!!! DUMB!!!
And, one last thing......your last statement is totally UNTRUE! HE has been paid UNDER THE TABLE by elitist LAWYERS while serving as head of the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE and paid well....I might add. I think 27 MILLION DOLLARS is a good day for a crook.....don't you? ROFLMAO!

I noticed McCain's personal income (separate from his wife's) was 4 million last year.
Now you know why 5 million was the number he picked as being "rich". Incidentally he has 9 houses on seven properties for all those struggling to keep one. Or worse all of those who were foreclosed on.-

His income may have been 4 mil, but his worth is more like 40 mil, big diff, but he doesn't seem to realize that, among thousands of other things he doesn't realize either.

Now, about the houses, the reason McCain struggled with the answer wasn't because he did not know. It was because MOST if not ALL of these properties are in a TRUST in CINDY McCAIN's name and he would have to had explain all that to the news media and they would have printed out tons of lies afterwards.....so, he knows what houses they have......it is really NONE of your business. However, AT LEAST, his houses were purchased LEGALLY unlike BARACK HUSSAIN OBAMA's who owns a $4 Million Mansion in Chicago and didn't have the money to purchase all the land, so he made a deal under the table with now CONVICTED FELON, TONY REZKO!! Now, who would you RATHER trust this country to? A man who deals underhandly with a known FELON, or a man who pays for his house(s). By the way, HE and Cindy McCain have NEVER been foreclosed on. I know you wish it was true, but hon, it just isn't true.
One other thing, when McCain answered laughingly, what makes one rich and he replied...5 Million Dollars...he was JOKING! Something you dems don't get. McCain said there would probably be an add come out from the other side saying he said 5 million dollars makes you rich. LOL!
Then, he answered seriously, "family, good friends; good health; and freedom to choose and freedom living in America, the greatest nation in the world. THAT was HIS final answer! Sometimes, you dems are Anal Retentive, aren't you? Sheesh!
McCain and his wife have never had a house forclosed on. The houses they own are a result of Cindy McCain's inheritance! They are in TRUST! No foreclosures! Check it out.
Obama has a $4 Million Mansion in Chicago and entered into a under the table illegal land deal with now convicted felon, Tony Rezko! Gee, wonder why the Obama people want to keep Rezko out of the picture? Humm?

I also hope he doesn't forget how much he bashed Obama during the primaries as being inexperienced.

I'm also going to be INTERESTED in seeing what you have to say if McCain picks Romney (as many expect him to) given the comments Romney made (during the primaries) bad mouthing McCain.
Only the purely ignorant would NOT understand that statements made during a campaign that one believes an opponent is NOT as prepared as oneself is a reasonable position to have. Does NOT anyone seeking ANY position believe themselves to be more qualified then ANY other person trying out for the same position?
And if you TRULY believed that someone else was MORE qualified, would do a better job, and be a better choice then what kind of an egomaniac do you have to be to want the acclaim at the expense of what is better (in this case) for the country? -

In August 2005 (LONG before Obama was a blip on the radar) he said on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart that he (Biden) would be proud to run with or against John McCain.
When pushed he repeated the WITH part saying that he had encouraged Kerry to run with McCain.
I would also point out that back in August 2005 there were MANY people (Democrats and Republicans) who supported John McCain that don't in August 2008.
In August 2005 McCain STILL apposed the Bush tax cuts, STILL believed that Americans should NOT torture detainees, STILL believed that warrantless wiretaps were legal and should be prosecuted, and was STILL the Maverick who stood up to the radical NeoCons that have taken over this Country.
Unfortunately, John McCain decided that it was MORE important to be the Republican Presidential Nominee then it was to keep his honor and integrity which is why the John McCain that Joe Biden praised in August 2005 looks NOTHING like the John McCain of August 2008 who would make the 2nd worst President (behind Bush 43) in the 232 year history of this Country.
