We have a VP choice for the Democrats. Wait to see who John McCain and the Republicans pick for their VP. It is likely that either Tom Ridge or Tim Pawlenty are possible. Having lived in PA when Ridge was Governor, I would not be in favor of seeing him rise to the level of VP in the event McCain wins.

Biden leaves me ice cold. That clinched it for me. I won't be voting for Obama.

If McCain selects Ridge or Pawlenty I'll be very disappointed and have to go to plan C.

I agree. I am having serious doubts about Obama for the fall. Unless something drastic and offbeat happens at the convention, I am voting for Senator Clinton for President anyway. I will write her name in.

I'd forgotten there is a Clinton write-in effort. She won the popular vote in the primary, so why not?

I'm going to have to really do my homework before I click in the booth.

I hadn't taken the Clinton write-in that seriously, but the presidential candidates aren't looking very presidential. It's certainly worth a shot, and she won the popular vote in the primary.

The rumor in the political arenas is that McCain is seriously considering asking Archie Bunker to be his running mate. He says that he feels that Archie reflects the true values of the republican party.

Actually, you got that all wrong. In a stunning reversal of the Democratic Party, Mr. George Jefferson was tapped to become the Republican VP. Although he was quite nervous about giving his dry cleaning business to his son Lionel, he told the press, "What the heck, Wheezie! Let's go for it."

Quite a nonchalant response if I do say so.

So, Mr Jefferson hopes to move on up once more?

Who does Biden appeal to that Obama doesn't? That is the basic problem.

Biden brings strength in the areas of foreign policy and the military. Obama needed to address these shortcomings in his resume by adding some weight to the ticket.

Make no mistake about it...the media pundits is correct on this one. Joe Biden is a very good choice for Obama.. The Senator from Delaware brings experience to the ticket.and unlike the entire Bush White House, Biden will not become just another 'Yes' man in a Obama administration. As reported on Fox News today, many conservatives to include the Mccain camp was hoping that Obama would pick someone other than Joe Biden..
