  As I have more experience than Obama on most matters, I was hoping for the VP position so that I could bring something to the ticket.

    Really? You're a constitutional legal scholar teaching at a university? You've held leadership positions in government?
    
    Or are you like Bush -- someone with the experience of driving a bunch of companies into the toilet while you get bailed out by your family or the Saudis?

      If Obama is a Constitutional Legal Scholar, show us some real proof. Btw, he only taught what had been approved by the professor who ran the department. I would like so see an example of Obama's college career do you have any of his thesis he wrote or maybe his grades? Can you post those?

  The VP is the president of the Senate and has a lot more power than you think. You are right he only get to vote when the vote is 50 to 50, but he can stall or speed up legislation. Think of this team ; Obama, Pelosi, and Biden running the country. That's pretty scary, but I guess it could be worse like Obama, Hillary, and Pelosi. Ouch, that is a nightmare.

  If it doesn’t real mater why the hoopla with text messages at 3am?
  Was it just red meat for his chum..errr… base ya that’s it his base.
  
  Seriously the reason this was important is due to the virtually non-existent Obama record.
  Obama’s running on his “judgment” , words are cheap if it doesn’t cost ya. Obama SAYS he was against the war but how do we REAL know? He didn’t have to vote on it.
  He said he was against the FISA deal promised to filibuster and when it came time to vote he totally CAVED!
  
  So yes His call to go with Joe Biden (Thankfully an easy name) will be examined
  ad nauseam, from every angle possible.

  I wouldn’t bet any money on that. The VP role has been “evolving” since Reagan with VP doing more and more (Dan Quale is an exception for obvious reasons).
