The blunt and seasoned chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee is a veteran of more than three decades in the Senate, and one of his party’s leading experts on foreign policy – an area in which polls indicate Obama needs help in his race against John McCain.

“There has been no harsher critic of Barack Obama’s lack of experience than Joe Biden. Biden has denounced Barack Obama’s poor foreign policy judgment and has strongly argued in his own words what Americans are quickly realizing – that Barack Obama is not ready to be president,” McCain spokesman Ben Porritt said in a statement.

I need to learn more about this guy, but it seems he's most famous for copying some British guy's speech.

      Is he a loose cannon?

        LOL that's an understatement
        Biden comments:
"You cannot go to a 7-11 or Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian Accent."
August, 2007 debate on the question of whether Obama was ready to be president: "I think he can be ready, but right now I don't believe he is. The presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training."
The day Biden announced his presidential run, Asked about running in the primary against Obama: "I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,"
        Biden is a gaffe machine

          I guess the question remains:

Does Biden know how many houses he has without checking an index card or referring to his staff?

Biden has experience and is a decent choice but that 'change we can believe in' idea has gone backwards to typical Washington insider politics no matter what Obama claims. Biden is a typical politician just like Obama. Difference is Biden admits it, BO will not.

Based on what Biden has said in the past...........

--"In Delaware, the largest growth in population is Indian Americans, moving from India. You cannot go to a 7/11 or a Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I'm not joking." - July 2006
--Barack Obama is a "clean" black person. February 2007
--One reason that so many District of Columbia schools fail is the city's high minority population. October 2007 (Now that may be true, but a liberal can't say it.)

.....................he's the perfect choice for Messiah Tse-Tung

"Barack Obama is probably the most exciting candidate that either the Democratic or Republican party has produced at least since I've been around,"

          Biden later qualified.
          is articulate
          and bright and clean
          and a
          nice-looking guy
          He's fresh,
          he's new,
          he's insightful."

Oh and did I mention he’s black?

Biden Previously Attacked Him As A "Johnny Come Lately" For
His Failure To Show Leadership On Foreign Relations Issues:

Since Obama Joined The Senate Foreign Relations Committee, The Committee Held
Three Full Committee Policy Hearings On The War In Afghanistan.
Committee On Foreign Relations, U.S. Senate, Hearing, 1/31/08, Obama Not Present
Committee On Foreign Relations, U.S. Senate, Hearing, 3/8/07, Obama Present
Committee On Foreign Relations, U.S. Senate, Hearing, 9/21/06, Obama Not Present

Obama's propensity for not participating in the Illinois Senate, seems to have carried over to the U.S. Senate, as noted by Joe Biden.

Didn't Joe say if he was defeated by McCain, then he knew he was beat by the best man for the job? Interesting to see how they the Obama camp gets around that comment & it will be as interesting to see if the McCain camp uses Joe's own words in Mac's favor.

Biden says they are good friends. Does that mean McCain will refrain from attacking him? And who should Mac pick as his running mate? I'm thinking Pawlenty or Pallin would be the way to go. Are either pro-life? Any Thoughts?

                Hillary Clinton
McCain would have an easy win
Seriously, McCain is going to have to consider the VP debate
He will need someone who can stand up to Biden in experience and debating style
I don't think Pawlenty or Pallin fit the bill

McCain is running against Obama - Obama is a Democratic Publicity Stunt, not much more.

I think if McCain chose a woman, we would capture the one demographic that he is currently hurting in and he would be able to bag the election.

Biden has NEVER played second fiddle to anyone
Who is going to be assigned to keep him in line and clamp their hand over his mouth if he starts to get out of line?

Joe will blow away any "JERK" that the hypocrite can bring in as his VP pick. The hypocrite himself has to duck for cover as Joe knows how to attack him after being in Senate Foreign Relations committee and in Congress for 35 years.

                  Here is the first shot:

. What is so great about this McCain while there are other thousands of POWs from Vietnam? Let us dissect him and his qualifications.

. Do you have to be a POW to become President?

Across more than 30 years in the Senate, he has served at various times not only as chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee but also as head of the Judiciary Committee, with its jurisdiction over anti-crime legislation, Supreme Court nominees and Constitutional issues.

He has the experience to clean up the mess the republicons have made of the DoJ, as well as what they have done to our Constitution and Habeas Corpus.

I think Obama made the best choice he could.

We'll hear that Biden doesn't change his underwear as often as he should, but he is not the scumbag quality of a Shumer, Kennedy or Reid.

It doesn't change my vote, but it will make me feel a little better if Obama manages to pull it out.

The progress can only be made if within changes there are continuity. I am glad that Biden could provide such continuity to make change possible.

                            That makes two losers.
Biden will be a 3 time loser after this election.

Joe Biden? You mean the same guy that has a temper that rivals McCain and has a propensity to put his foot in his mouth? Is this a good choice for a candidacy that’s only a few points ahead of McCain?
