Give me Liberty: I want my country back! »
Posted By populist 1 year, 3 months ago in NewsI love the America of the Constitution and limited government - not the America of the Patriot Act and the Orwellian Department of Homeland Security.
I love the America that Washington and Jefferson said should be far removed from all the age-old quarrels of Europe and Asia, while trading benevolently with people all over the world - not the America that has troops in a hundred countries while our own government prohibits us from peaceful trading with dozens of countries.
In short, I want my country back.

How do you account for there not being any terrorist attacks in this country since 9/11? A lag in terrorist planning? sure.
Reply
Here are a few well documented examples of what would happen If you liberals had had it your way...
1> Terrorists would have cut the suspension cables holding the Brooklyn Bridge, killing tens of thousands...
2> Terrorists would have attacked the New York City subway system.
3> A terrorist in Chicago would have exploded a dirty bomb.
4> Terrorists would have blown-up a shopping mall in Columbus, Ohio.
These are but a few examples!
Fact is, you need the Patriot Act. You need Homeland security. Otherwise tens of thousands more Americans and others, at least, would be dead right now at the hands of terrorists that liberals seem to have bleeding hearts for.-

...how do you account for a sevenfold, world wide increase in terrorist attacks during the year after Dumya invaded Iraq? Forget the Anthrax attacks?

What fear mongering site did you get your examples from? Forget when America used to only punish people for what they actually did, not what you think they might do? This country helped hang Natzis for the preemption you support! How un-American of you! -

Each one of those instances you cited are well-documented as having been prevented without the PATRIOT ACT. There was even one conservative justice who verbally attacked Bush by citing those instances, saying that terrorism was averted using the standard tools of law-enforcement.
Does that make this conservative justice a liberal now?
People like you are really pitiful. You don't get it. You bark exactly what your party line wants to, and automatically think anyone who disagrees with your party is a liberal. You live in a fear-choked world and have no b****.
You are a coward. You betray the American Constitution and Bill of Rights. In fact, I'll bet you haven't even read the Bill of Rights. They don't usually feature it on Fox News.
Shame on you for all time. -

In a post 9/11 world, the only way you can "get your country back" is to defeat Islamo-Fascism where ever it is. There's no going back unless you can defeat the terrorists; to think otherwise is irrational. It's not like you can wave a wand: you have to fight them and kill them. What's the matter with you?
