Yep...best choice, really. If he and Hillary had just gotten along better, Hillary would have been my first choice...but it still would have been a close call...

I've always liked Joe Biden...easy-going, outspoken at times, closer to being one of the people...much more so than our current President ever was.

As for Obama's opponent, his best choice is Tom Ridge...OK...OK...so he's pro-choice...no party can win them all, and Obama's opponent has to do it if he wants to win. No Pawlenty, no Pallin, and Romney would be his "Hillary"...they just don't get along...

US, I think Hillary would have been a no-brainer for VP had she not had the baggage of Bill Clinton. I am not talking about the Monica stuff, but just the fact Bill would most likely overshadow even a charasmatic guy like Obama.

And the baggage of a negative campaign. She/they were pretty nasty to Obama. I definitely would not have chosen her. Joe Biden is a good choice. I like straight talking people. I can even forgive them when they are occasionally wrong.

Absolutely. Biden is the real straight talk express and it's a trait I respect, even though it does get him in trouble from time to time.

My bet for McCain's choice is Colin Powell. Just a hunch. ;)

Hw can he pick Colon when he supports Obama, only the Dems are dumb enough to give that sort of ammo to the iopposition for their adds.

              I'd have liked it too.

It'd have been better if he ran in 2000, though.

Colin Powell supports Obama, I think.

If he doesn't, though, a Powell VP slot for McCain would be really dangerous I think. Really dangerous. It would be the ultimate pick for McCain.

I Googled it and even Kristol is heavily speculating that he will endorse Obama at the DNC; not sure if will or not, though. He may already have.

                      Thanks.

Obama should of tried to get Powell, then. That would of made the election a shoo-in for him.

Easy going ? Did you see him speak the other night? Spit was firing out of his mouth he was so seething with anger toward McCain....And this was supposedly a good friend of his...I know this is all political posturing but the guy took it up a notch and looked more like a Nazi spewing hate than an "easy-going" VP candidate....

Geez....It Biden is easy-going....Hate to see who'd you select for harsh....

With all due respect, if Joe Biden is a Nazi for his comments in Springfield the other day, I am left to wonder where the actions of those who have truly committed sins against others in this country would stand in your book. People like Karl Rove who was behind the treasonous act of outing an active CIA agent for political gain, for instance. If simply pointing out the obvious during a campaign speech qualifies as Nazi tactics, where does treason rank in your view?

Unlike you a$$holes, I know what an actual nazi is and would never call or equate anybody from ANY party to the nazi party...

You guys on the other hand, like to take the low road and throw the word around like water and use it inappropriately like you do so many other things....

That is why you guys are losers and will lose this election in November....

If had someone I considered a good friend betray his principles and hook up with the likes of the Bush crime family, I'd be pretty ****** at him or her, too!

Biden probably feels like McCain either deserted him and his principles, or that he was playing him all along and not at all who Biden thought he was. Either way, Biden is not one to shrink away from calling a spade a spade.

                          Sushi,

"If had someone I considered a good friend betray his principles and hook up with the likes of the Bush crime family, I'd be pretty ****** at him or her, too!"

You're so full of crap, cushion.....You would not throw away years of friendship for political purposes....You're a friend first, a politician second.....Biden is simply being a sock puppet for the left and regirgitating all the sound bites that he has been instructed to say from Osama's camp.....

I have plenty of friends that we don't see eye-to-eye, but we're still very close and actually encourage differences of opinion....

Of course, I always win our debates, but that's another story for another time.....

Nonsense as always FSU! I am sure you missed Obama on Fareed Zakaria on CNN Sunday. Just a one on one interview with one of the very few sane political commentators. No question Obama is ready for the job. He makes GW look like a third grader with his knowledge of the world and foreign affairs. He referred to the Truman administration and the GH Bush administration as good role models (citing both James Baker and Brent Scowcroft as examples of good advisors) on foreign policy. And you might be surprised that I totally agree with him on that. Biden will also be a good advisor.

You can try all you want to make him look like a raving lunatic. Yet as usual you couldn't be further from the truth. You don't listen to his words or understand his beliefs. It will be America's loss if he doesn't win. Apparently the greatest fear on the Right is to have a President of greater intelligence than the general populace. Real scary stuff!

Like inflating our tires to solve our energy crisis ? How aboutt he ability to know how many states are in America....And then there's the issue of recommending the largest tax increase since Bill Clinton was in office during a relatively poor economy....

Are you saying that keeping tabs on you tire pressure will not help with fuel economy?

Or that getting rid of the Bush tax cuts for the rich will not help the ecomomy?

Oh and he had a gaffer with the n 57 states remark, big deal, McSame has many many more gaffers than that.

                                      That's fine....

                                      You're a liberal....I'd expect nothing less...

But to think inflating your tires is equivalent to offshore drilling, which is what Osama said, for solving our energy needs and to ween us off foreign oil....

Then you may also believe the moon is made of cheese....

Your an idiot and you keep proving it! WE have to pay our bills and I am afraid the rich are going to have to foot the bill. No one else has a pot to p*ss in after the past seven years.

And stop disseminating false information. You are insane to say that the economy of the mid to late 90's was poor. Your singular opinion, of course maybe you could get AG and Aniokly to accept this but not the thinking among us.

You would sell this country right down the river for the sole purpose of preventing a Democrat from being elected President. You already have at least twice. You hardcore cons remind me of the Tories of Revolutionary times. Scoundrels all! Scared to death of changing the status quo. Clinging to your misguided notions.

UnusualSuspects, you really don't know much about Biden do you? Between his calling Obama a clean guy, implying his own racist tendencies, he stated he felt McCain would make a better president then Obama. Until this last weekend, I never thought McCain had a chance. After seeing this line up, I cut my first check to the GOP in 2 years. Again, I'm not voting for McCain, I'm voting against Obama.
