I was tall enough not to need platform shoes but I did own a members only jacket which I thought at the time was the coolest piece of clothing I'd ever worn.

I traded the horn rims in for some wire rim photo grays in 8th grade. Too stylin'!

Think that LBJ's beagle was "Him". I remember those three feet of snow. But had shoes and there wasn't much walking to school--the bus had been invented by then. There were plenty of hills, my living in central PA. When big snows hit, everything would stop for a day until people dug themselves out. Then life would resume. But Spring flooding was an annual ritual.
