Posted By byalung 1 year, 3 months ago in News

The worst has happened. For John McCain that is. Obama has picked Joe Biden as his running mate. The McCain camp was so fearful of this happening, they had their attack ads already produced, just in case.

      afraid of BIDEN!?!

      AHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Nunn would've been the better foreign policy choice. At least the one I would've respected. Biden was the lowest performing A list democratic presidential candidate.

At the risk of repeating myself, AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Uhm, while I am of the same general political persuasion, and I like Biden the more I learn of him, and I have renamed my cat 'obama', - I have to admit I don't think a VP choice is the sort of thing that strikes fear into the heart of an ex-pow.

Does seem to be scaring the propeller neo-cons, but my cat could do that.

Biden's being chosen as Obama's running mate has little impact on this campaign. To think otherwise is stupid. Whoever McCain chooses will in all likelihood have the same effect. What is important to note that if this were a close election, the VP might make a difference as demonstrated in Kennedy choosing Johnson. But running scared?? Pluleeze! If the Democrats were to pick Hillary then that would put a quiver in my quiver, it won't happen, since it would also put a quiver in Obama's quiver.

I think it would have been a 'concern' had Hillary been partnered up with Obama. In any event, Obama needs someone to tell him what to do.

Wow what a load. You guys realize you're dealing with John McCain. He's played politics longer than Obama's staff of geniuses has been alive. Any good leader/commander would have a number of ads prepared with the top potential candidates. Obama/Biden, Obama/Clinton, Obama/Edwards, and the like. With the press coverage on his potential running mate, McCain didn't need spies inside the Obama camp to know the finalists. With the nasty run the DNC had there's more than enough public footage of each of the potential candidates bashing Barry.

And as to Biden, there are many in the GOP now realizing we could win this election after all. Biden. Between his acts of plagiarism, big mouth and general laziness, it's amazing anyone would select this guy. It will be a miracle if he can get through the next 90 days without putting his foot in his mouth. I'm counting on it, he's McCain's best chance to get into the White House.

I take Obama's Vice Pres choice as a cry for HELP. He has no clue and is hoping that Biden can help him firm up that he can handle things like war and international relations. Obama has NO EXPERIENCE WHAT SO EVER. Electing Obama would be like hiring a 9 year old to drive a Simi truck down the freeway. A VERY BAD IDEA....

To each according to their need ( those never worked, those who don't work now,and don't intend to ever work). From those with the ability pay, from the blood, sweat, and tears of long hours toiling to make a better for life themselves, and their families. You'll find most of this in the communist manifesto, and some of it strait out of the democratic play book.

If anyone actually reads what Obama says rather than the highly spun nonsense coming from pundits or his political opponents, none of the ludicrous proclamations here have any value. He has said he would base his VP decision on ability to offer contrasting points of view and ability to govern, not on the traditional "pick someone from a state that you need a voter boost from".
Obama is no communist, but it's funny how the same people who cheer borrowing trillions from China ( remember these same people brought you Viet Nam to stop the Chinese "red threat"..now they can exploit their cheap - slave labor market so they are bestest buttbuddies) to pay for their Iraq error always cry bloody murder if a penny is spent on domestic programs.
Corporate welfare? That's great give them billions to hide in their bogus Dubai or Bahamian dummy bank accounts. Feed a starving kid, or try to help make healthcare more affordable in the U.S.- "why that's communist!". Frankly The ill informed downright idiocy of much of the "psuedo-rightwing" (because what passes for conservatism these days is just as far removed from it as communism is). Calling it conservative is an insult to Teddy Roosevelt (Who founded the National Park Service, Dwight Eisenhower who warned of the danger of allowing corporate-military-government alliances to grow and particularly Barry Goldwater who above all else valued the constitution). Shame on you! Look at the shambles GWB leaves this nation with as he leaves, look at the prosperity and good will we had before his coup. Even from the selfish point of view; If you really are better off now than you were 8 years ago, you are in a group that encompasses only a minute fraction of Americans. If not, do you really want more of the same? McCain is no maverick, since being spanked in public by Rove's wrecking crew in 2000 his course of action has been to join them. Voting 95% in lock step with Bush.
Don't listen to me though, and definitely don't listen to the idiots who post bombastic remarks from unknown chain emails here pretending it's real. Truth should not be as obscured as it is in politics but there are some who are completely and wholly invested in it's elimination.
If you can explain how record national debts, record spending, and an unconstitutional amassing of power to the executive branch is conservative, I'm all ears. Otherwise frankly this whole noisy but not numerous crowd blathering about here about McCain's wonderfulness (we remember you all hated him...what 6 months ago ?) and Obama being a satanist puppy killer has ZERO credibility here. You all supported dubya 100% and you were dead wrong.
Why on earth would anyone pay any mind to your sky is falling diatribe now? Give us all a break.
