Comments for Obama Biden Ticket Strikes Fear Into McCain »
Posted By byalung 1 year, 4 months ago in NewsThe worst has happened. For John McCain that is. Obama has picked Joe Biden as his running mate. The McCain camp was so fearful of this happening, they had their attack ads already produced, just in case.

This is the dumbest story ever put on the front page of Propeller.....Check the polls, losers....McCain has caught Osama in terms of the poll numbers...Osama started out 8-10 points ahead and now they're pretty much dead even....Care to explain ?
Reply
In desperation last night, Michelle Obama tried to "humanize" her husband because they know Americans have figured them out and their Socialist agenda....She started out by saying how she "loved her country" after she had already said a couple of times that she had NEVER been proud of her country.....LMAO !!! It was so scripted and transparent that even YOU, US, could see what their hidden agenda was.....
Sorry guys....You will lose in November-

Actually, the numbers are roughly where they've been for months.
http://www.gallup.com/poll/107674/Interactive-Graph-Follow-General-Election.aspx
Even when McCain had to dump all the money he's raised the last few months into an ad campaign before he becomes the nominee and Obama was on vacation, McCain managed a lead in 2 of 7 national polls and pulled ahead in one electoral vote predictor.
That's horrible news for McCain.
But I do agree Biden is probably not going to create a large bounce. If at all. If he does, it'll be delayed because no one knows who he is.
In addition, I'd be amiss if I didn't point out that John McCain did cover some of the ground between Obama and himself in what was basically the most one-sided political week or two that you will be seeing. In particular in the electoral college, where McCain made significant gains.-

This poll shows Obama ahead by 7 points back in June of '08....
And now they're dead even, so I'd say McCain making up a seven point deficit is pretty good.....And bad for Osama....
With very little bump in numbers with the addition of Biden to the ticket, I'd say Osama is more in trouble....

I've been paying pretty close attention to most of the polls for months. For the most part there hasn't been significant, consistent, movement in either candidate's favor. The average separation between them has been about 3% for the past three or so months. This month, which contained McCain's best possible week, it might be a 1% difference on average.
Reply
Single polls don't matter. Its all about repetitive, consistent polling. I can bring up the recent poll that had McCain by 5 last month and then bring up the same outfit that now says Obama by 3 and claim that Obama's moved 8 points and that McCain is in serious trouble. I won't, though.-

In fact, Obama had roughly the same numbers in mid-July for the most part. He really started to drop in his numbers in early July; after that, McCain's not made a significant dent except for the time during Obama's vacation.

At least he didn't get caught plagiarizing in school as did Biden. Good grades are easy if you cheat! Good Character is more important anyway and it looks like Biden Fails at that!!! Also you don't know what else may have been going on in his life at that time that may have distracted from school. Einstein was flunked by a teacher because she couldn't understand Einsteins advanced math. Does that make Einstein dumb?

Minivan, you are in error, the media frenzy was because Biden gave a speech in which he cited quotes from a Brit politico numerous times. At one venue he neglected or forgot to mention it was a quote. The sharks ate him alive for this innocuous error. How many times has your b-buddy McCain slipped verbally in the last couple weeks? No one is crucifying him though. How does Joe Biden fail on character? He, like anyone isn't right 100% of the time (he bought Dumbya's wmd nonsense for instance) but he appears to be one the least corrupt men anywhere near the beltway.

He could select Mickey Mouse and have a better running mate than Biden. I've sat in on Senate hearings. When he's not praising himself, he's talking about himself and when he's done, if his time hasn't run out, he might remember the question he was going to ask. He's a terrible running mate. He must have some really good pictures of Barry with a goat or dog or something awful because that's the only way anyone would have selected him. Then again, there are many in the DNC who realize he was a Jimmy Carter type mistake. Improperly vetted, way to many anti-American friends, questionable business dealings with the likes of Rezko. Who knew Clinton would have been the safer choice?

AHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Nunn would've been the better foreign policy choice. At least the one I would've respected. Biden was the lowest performing A list democratic presidential candidate.
At the risk of repeating myself, AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! -

Uhm, while I am of the same general political persuasion, and I like Biden the more I learn of him, and I have renamed my cat 'obama', - I have to admit I don't think a VP choice is the sort of thing that strikes fear into the heart of an ex-pow.

Does seem to be scaring the propeller neo-cons, but my cat could do that.-

First off, renaming a cat? Wow, you need to get out of your mommy's basement and get some fresh air. There must be mold down there.
Reply
As to the scaring of neo-cons, not likely. First, most of us are ultra conservatives. That neo was a title started by the DNC because it reminded the of the Neo Nazis. We're not. On the scared part, I hosted a party. Biden is perhaps one of the weakest VP candidates Barry could have selected. The only positive I see for Barry in this one, there is absolutely no way Biden would be able to outshine him.-

Actually if you go back to the early '90s, the Neo-Nazi groups openly and publicly aligned themselves with the Neocon movement and Fundamentalist Christian movements. (They only pulled away when Bush ran and they were told it looked bad.)

Get your Nazi hate facts straight there, 64BBs. Look back 15 years and read some of their tracts. -

'neo' means 'new'; whereas ultra means, well, more.
The 'new' conservatives are not conservatives and should not be confused with such. There isn't anything 'ultra' about them.
There is nothing they conserve .
Not the environment or the economy; not the health nor the beauty of their country. They prostitute the flag; take the things of God and use them as political bricks to toss at enemies; they revere war and despise peace and just in general regard most of America as un-american.
Barry Goldwater was an ultra-conservative.
He had nothing in common with Rove, Bush, Cheney, Rush, Coulter, O'reilly, Feith, Rice, Kristol, Savage, Krauthammer, etc.
The very idea insults his memory.-

The term Neocon was coined by William Crystal, I believe actually his father was first to use it. Dem's did not coin it at all. Biden takes away the whole experience argument the neocons try to paint. (Though even a casual observer must notice that Obama's support comes primarily from people who think too much experience in Washington is a rotten thing anyway.) How getting shot down is some great experience eludes me, I'd prefer someone who carried out their mission without getting shot down.

Biden's being chosen as Obama's running mate has little impact on this campaign. To think otherwise is stupid. Whoever McCain chooses will in all likelihood have the same effect. What is important to note that if this were a close election, the VP might make a difference as demonstrated in Kennedy choosing Johnson. But running scared?? Pluleeze! If the Democrats were to pick Hillary then that would put a quiver in my quiver, it won't happen, since it would also put a quiver in Obama's quiver.

Wow what a load. You guys realize you're dealing with John McCain. He's played politics longer than Obama's staff of geniuses has been alive. Any good leader/commander would have a number of ads prepared with the top potential candidates. Obama/Biden, Obama/Clinton, Obama/Edwards, and the like. With the press coverage on his potential running mate, McCain didn't need spies inside the Obama camp to know the finalists. With the nasty run the DNC had there's more than enough public footage of each of the potential candidates bashing Barry.

And as to Biden, there are many in the GOP now realizing we could win this election after all. Biden. Between his acts of plagiarism, big mouth and general laziness, it's amazing anyone would select this guy. It will be a miracle if he can get through the next 90 days without putting his foot in his mouth. I'm counting on it, he's McCain's best chance to get into the White House. -

I take Obama's Vice Pres choice as a cry for HELP. He has no clue and is hoping that Biden can help him firm up that he can handle things like war and international relations. Obama has NO EXPERIENCE WHAT SO EVER. Electing Obama would be like hiring a 9 year old to drive a Simi truck down the freeway. A VERY BAD IDEA....

To each according to their need ( those never worked, those who don't work now,and don't intend to ever work). From those with the ability pay, from the blood, sweat, and tears of long hours toiling to make a better for life themselves, and their families. You'll find most of this in the communist manifesto, and some of it strait out of the democratic play book.

If anyone actually reads what Obama says rather than the highly spun nonsense coming from pundits or his political opponents, none of the ludicrous proclamations here have any value. He has said he would base his VP decision on ability to offer contrasting points of view and ability to govern, not on the traditional "pick someone from a state that you need a voter boost from".
Reply
Obama is no communist, but it's funny how the same people who cheer borrowing trillions from China ( remember these same people brought you Viet Nam to stop the Chinese "red threat"..now they can exploit their cheap - slave labor market so they are bestest buttbuddies) to pay for their Iraq error always cry bloody murder if a penny is spent on domestic programs.
Corporate welfare? That's great give them billions to hide in their bogus Dubai or Bahamian dummy bank accounts. Feed a starving kid, or try to help make healthcare more affordable in the U.S.- "why that's communist!". Frankly The ill informed downright idiocy of much of the "psuedo-rightwing" (because what passes for conservatism these days is just as far removed from it as communism is). Calling it conservative is an insult to Teddy Roosevelt (Who founded the National Park Service, Dwight Eisenhower who warned of the danger of allowing corporate-military-government alliances to grow and particularly Barry Goldwater who above all else valued the constitution). Shame on you! Look at the shambles GWB leaves this nation with as he leaves, look at the prosperity and good will we had before his coup. Even from the selfish point of view; If you really are better off now than you were 8 years ago, you are in a group that encompasses only a minute fraction of Americans. If not, do you really want more of the same? McCain is no maverick, since being spanked in public by Rove's wrecking crew in 2000 his course of action has been to join them. Voting 95% in lock step with Bush.
Don't listen to me though, and definitely don't listen to the idiots who post bombastic remarks from unknown chain emails here pretending it's real. Truth should not be as obscured as it is in politics but there are some who are completely and wholly invested in it's elimination.
If you can explain how record national debts, record spending, and an unconstitutional amassing of power to the executive branch is conservative, I'm all ears. Otherwise frankly this whole noisy but not numerous crowd blathering about here about McCain's wonderfulness (we remember you all hated him...what 6 months ago ?) and Obama being a satanist puppy killer has ZERO credibility here. You all supported dubya 100% and you were dead wrong.
Why on earth would anyone pay any mind to your sky is falling diatribe now? Give us all a break.
