    FTA:
Hillary Rodham Clinton summoned the millions of voters who supported her in the primaries to send Barack Obama to the White House Tuesday night, and drew thunderous applause at the Democratic National Convention when she declared her one-time rival is "my candidate and he must be our president."

    Good for Hillary, very classy!

Perhaps now the faux media will STHU about divisions, and focus on the issues.

Great Joke.. Is it not hilarious that the TWIN cities will welcome and see together the 2 of the Republican celebrities? Oh, here is a line up of their stars:

. Hail to the Thief Bush
      . Torture in Chief Cheney
      . Bush Poodle McCain
      . Mormon in chief Romney
. 9'11 tattooed on my forehead Guiliani
. PIG from CT (someone give him a bath)
. Stevens of Alaska (will be wearing sheriff's monitoring electronic anklet)
. Sleaze Ball Karl Row (
      . Alberto "Abu Ghraib" Gonzo
      . Maniuplator in chief, RICE
      . Liar in Chief Powell

...... and to think that these are the people who will help struggling middle class, good luck if you have decided to vote for them.

I don't envy the Republicans. Somehow they've got to do a Bush tribute yet keep McCain distanced from him.

hillary did her job with aplomb. she was gracious in defeat and her speech was very statesman-like. her good cheer and humor was effective...just wish her constituents will listen to her and follow her lead.

I watched her speech last night and thought she nailed it! And I really liked the laugh she got from her "Sisterhood of the Pantsuits" line. I think she gave her supporters enough reasons why they should support and vote Obama. NoCain is like Novocain, once it wears off you're still stuck with the pain.

It was a good speech. She said what I wanted to hear. I didn't much care which one one. Barry is a little less conservative. The important thing is that everyone is moving in the right direction together.

Our former first lady did a great job... she understands too well how important it is to unify the party. She is a sincere lady and has dedicated much of her life... and continues to want to improve the lives of all Americans.

Sorry to burst anyone's bubble here but for her to concede to the wishes of the party only took the women's movement back 40 years in my opinion.
I'll give her this much though, and that is, it was a great speech but I know Hillary enough to know that is was not delivered without duress and I can only imagine what kind of "deal" she struck with the Obama folks that would make someone who clearly had her own message to capitulate.
Could it be possible that the head of DNC in Arkansas knew something? I'm not acusing anyone of something here, I just find it odd that out of all the states it was Arkansas.
She simply stood up there and told everyone what they "wanted" to hear.

Excellent speech by Senator Clinton...exceeded my expectations. Most TV pundits give it a ' A ' along side Michelle's from the previous night. Now its Bill's turn tonight.

Hillary is trying to hold the democrat party together. I don't think they will thank her for it. Have you ever heard of make your negative a positive. Racism was the negative he used to gain recognition. He knew that the black race strives on being discriminated against. There are times when they will use discrimination when there is none. Obama has spent enough time in and around Congress to know the dirt.. That is more and likely how he got those super delegates to give over their votes so easily. She was trying to run a clean race. That was good opposite psychology letting Rev. Wright continue to show his black supremacy side. Change, We need other parties. That's the change America needed, more representation for the average people. Too bad they didn't split the Dem party and the republican party. As well off as Obama is he had to use affirmative action to take her votes. Of course he didn't have to ask. or say the words. I wonder what Obama knows on Richardson.? It will be most interesting when the truth comes out.. She is too much of a lady to play those games. He better be all he says he is.

Not to go off topic, just no general convention stories up here.

A little racial slip on the part of Jimmy Carter?

Hillary did what she had to do. Sure, it was hard for her, but she knows she has to play nice right now. I hope all the Hill supporters stop wavering now, and get on board.

My wife was such an ardent Hillary supporter. We wonder about what might have been had she stepped up to the plate at her first opportunity after Obama secured enough pledges to win the nomination.

What a great VP she could have been. Pride goeth before a fall.

Has it occurred to anyone here that Hillary and Obama might have made a "deal" that night they met so surreptitiously? Perhaps they agreed on another position for her, like a cabinet position. For example, as Secy. of Health, she would have a big say on her pet project -- a health care plan for us. And it would keep her in the national spotlight in preparation for her next presidential run.
