Obama was apparently only against the war until he got into office. His voting record is fairly hawkish, his Iraq proposal is a near duplicate of McCains, he favors increasing troop strength in Afghanistan and upping funding to the military.

Save your energy if you are looking to the democrat party for change. It's a slogan for them, but not much more.
