There is a difference between wanting a generic Democrat and wanting Obama. And McCain is like Reagan in that he consistently runs ahead of the generic Republican.

Quinnipiac, the most recent poll, has Obama up by +1%
Real Clear Politics' average for all Ohio polls from 8/12 to 8/24 is +1.2% McCain - close enough to place Ohio firmly in the toss-up category.

Don't feel so bad, Ohio is only 20 electoral votes.
Reply
Senator Obama is up by similar amounts in New Mexico (+1%), Colorado (+1.2%) and New Hampshire (+0.3%) those three states have a total of 18 electoral votes.

"I can't wait to laugh at the Republican convention. There will be so many corrupt, lying bstards paraded on stage it will make Americans sick."

You mean like at the Democratic Convention where people who said Obama isn't ready for the Presidency are now being forced to say he's the Second Coming? Where the VP nominee will have to contradict decades of glowing statements about his friend McCain?
As for corruption, it's Obama's buddy Tony Rezko who is going to be sentenced about a week before the election...

Quinnipiac wasn't very accurate during the primaries. I find this one best:

Quinnipac is all over the map. RCP's no toss up has it currently as Obama 273, McCain 265. We have an election that could literally be a blow out in the EC either way. Without a major change, Obama could get as many a 333 Electors, or McCain could get as many as 326. What might give pause is that both Gallup and Rasmussen have been showing a slow but steady increase for McCain in which he currently holds slight leads in both, but both are within MOE.

Rasmussen, the guy who gets it correct, has McCain up by 5% in Ohio and down by 3% in Pennsylvania. Waiting for his next Michigan poll since others have shown McCain cloing.

A taxpayer vote for Obama is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders!!!

Obama leads in the polls while HE Agrees with Mccain 90% of the time. Obama said no. I'm not for the Bail out? What does Obama do? Obama looks at John Mccain; and Votes Yes. Same as Mccain. The voters are ******. They say no to any Free Bail out!! we will have to pay for this crap. Plus all the other free money going to unfit organizations. Now Mccain is by far the best Candidate to lead this country. Obama will have to Ask Michelle? Michelle I won this election!! now how do I run it? Mccain is not here with the answers. Obama zero with a IQ of 133. someone padded his score to make him look intelligent. Obama is a product of Affirmative Action. Sorry too many chickens deep fried by the Colonel.
