Public school educated right? Let's discuss our weapons then and now. The PGM-19 Jupiter was a medium-range ballistic missile (MRBM) of the United States Air Force, removed from service by April 1963. This is a nuclear armed missile used mainly as an offensive weapon. The missiles we're proposing are very small interceptor type weapons and the radar control portion of this is in the Czech Republic. These are weapons launched only to shoot down incoming weapons. One thing the new Soviet Union is forgetting to mention was that the US offered to place this in Russia in a joint effort to stop Iranian missiles, they declined. Then again, where else would Russia be able to sell their ICMB technologies to. North Korea has no money. Cuba and Venezuela would be stopped. This is another example the USSR is back.

  You're correct. The missiles we'd like to place in Poland really can't be used to attack first. They're over glorified anti aircraft weapons designed to bring down missiles. My question to Russia is what are you afraid of? If the US and USSR goes to war, the missiles launched from both sides will cross the polar ice caps. The only reason to fear a missile defense in the EU is if you're planning a first strike on the EU.

    Then return the favour. Allow Russian missiles into either Canada or Mexico. You choose.
    
    As for what you call 'defense,' both Russia and the world are well aware of how America is remarkably skilled at distorting the English language to make black seem white. To keep harping on about the word 'defense' in the light of America's aggressive behaviour is suspect. America's actions speak so loud nobody can hear a word it's saying.
