I just wish someone would provide something besides INNUENDO when it comes to Obama's relationships.
Reply
Obama has a relationship with Ayers, a prominent fixture in the Chicago's political scene and a professor no less. And...
There's the problem. No punchline.
I don't know where Cons get off. The Foxies have Oliver North on the payroll. Why don't they ostracize a guy who sold weapons to our enemies?
And for those putting Clinton above country. Shame on you.-

Justice, I don't know what he's hiding, that's why it's being brought up in the media. If I had all the answers, I would not be here. If Obama would just come clean instead of trying to brush it under the rug as he did with Rev. Write or his deals with Rezco, I wouldn't have doubts like this. If Obama keeps campaigning as the candidate of change and that he practices a new style of politics, I would not have these questions. If Obama was more experienced and had more than three years in Washington behind him, I would not ask these questions. If Obama answered real questions about real issues facing the American people, I would not have these questions. Yes, I ask a lot of questions about the man who wants to lead us for the next four years, as our Commander in Chief while at the same time berates a man who served his time in a POW camp.
Reply
As far as TNT's comment goes; I'm not digging, smearing, implying or making innuendo, I'm just looking for the answer that Obama is obviously hiding. The man is known for his lingustic skills, I'm sure he can come up with one, Now, if I believe him, that's another story.

Are you that anxious to see what happened to a man while incarcerated by one of our enemies. I suppose you want to see the video of American soldiers beheaded by Al Quida too? What do you think is in these files that you have to see so badly?

obama's not trying to hide anything. downplay? sure. why wouldn't he? ayers isn't mother theresa (who supposedly personally counsels cindy mccain btw).
Reply
AND...
$100,000,000 ?????
where'd you get that fantasy number?
in 2006, the woods fund handed out just over $3 million in grants.
I guess they're just sitting on that other $97 million, waiting for the right terrorist cell to apply for a grant.
ridiculous.-

From the article itself:
Reply
"The CAC was a major education reform project, proposed by Ayers, which was underwritten by a $49.2 million grant from the Annenberg Foundation, complemented by another $100 million in private and public funding. The project ran for about five years, beginning in 1995. As the liberal researcher Steve Diamond has recounted, Ayers ran its operational arm, the “Chicago School Reform Collaborative.” Obama, then a 33-year-old, third-year associate at a small law firm, having no executive experience, was brought in to chair the board of directors, which oversaw all “fiscal matters."”
And it's more than just downplaying this, read this article. He's hiding something:

It's funny.

People are asking when Obama quit beating his wife. And Obama is not taking it.
It's just too bad Obama isn't a poor black guy you can railroad through the court system, isn't, Cons?
We aren't going to suffer your BS this election season, Cons. Put up or shut up. That's all that needs to be said.-

In Obama’s own words, Ayers was "just a guy who lives in my neighborhood"
Reply
Then what came to light:
Ayers hosted the campaign kickoff fundraiser for Obama's first State Senate run.
An ad comes out about the Obama-Ayers relationship. What does Obama do - complain to the FEC - NO
Complain to the FCC - NO
He sends a letter to the Justice Dept asking for the group that funded the ad to undergo a criminal investigation. Why would he do that? Intimidation plain and simple
Now it comes to light that they worked together on the CAC for several years
If Obama had been honest from the beginning, this wouldn't get very much press
It's what politicians never seem to learn - if they tell the truth from the beginning, it wouldn't blow up in their faces
Now with the actions being taken by the Obama campaign itself, he is making it look like there is something to hide-

Sure, here's one link. BTW. It was Hillary that first aired the connection between Obama and Ayres. So much for the cons starting all the innuendo, huh? If you want more links, just let me know, I'll find them for you.

Let's go to the appropriately named section:
Reply
" THE SPIN:
Obama said Ayers is “a guy who lives in my neighborhood” and not someone who has endorsed him or talked to him regularly."
How is that IN CONTEXT, Cons? Do you even KNOW what the term means?
Why can't you provide something Obama said beyond the ONE QUOTE take out of context you keep latching onto, especially in the face of throwing out that Obama said he and Ayers are friendly.
Don't try to confuse us with facts, Cons, because you don't know how to pick them out.
LOL
Just another day in the Con Culture of Lies and Incompetence.-

Ok, that sounds fair to me. Let’s discuss another remark that Obama had about this subject.
Reply
“The notion that somehow as a consequence of me knowing somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago when I was 8 years old, somehow reflects on me and my values, doesn’t make much sense,”
Ayres is a few years older than Obama, of course, there no direct correlation there. But they did not meet 40 years ago, therefore, that makes this comment entirely moot. However, the values thing, maybe a person who is very motivated in rnning for political office should use better judgment in picking his friends. Maybe the good Reverend Wright introduced him to him. Actually, I think that Tony Rezko introduced them. As intelligent as Obama is, you think that he would know better, and should shy away from people like this. Yet, this connection “doesn’t make much sense” to him.
Do you still want to discuss more of his remarks?-

Ayers born 1944.
Obama born 1961.
A few years older than Obama, Cons?
Again, your failure to obtain fundamental facts about the whole situation just goes to show that you are grasping at straws.
People "like this"? Like what? How many bombs has Ayers set off since he and Obama met?-

How many banks has Keating shut down since him and McCain parted ways? Again, you're point is moot. All day you have been running off about coming up with facts, and yet, you just keep throwing the same spin on the original topic. McCain, nor any other republican has anything what so ever, to do with Obama and Ayres sitting on this board. What is Obama hiding that he needs to get the DoJ involved in? One simple answer, no more BS.

Obama has been a senator for one year and then two and a half years campaignigng for President. The only major legislation he has sponsored is the new United Nations sponsored "Poverty Act", where the "rich" nations give 0.7% of their GDP to "poor nations". This would be ~850 Billion Dollars over 12 yeras and Obama sponsored and supports it because most of the money woud go to his soul brothers in Africa.
Reply
He learned well from Rev. Wright, who says that a limitless amount government grants are "owed" to blacks because of slavery
What a loser.

Cons, The punchline is, that Ayers blew up the Pentagon, and is proud of it. If you see Obama hanging with Al quada members in another 30 years, but they are all prominant fixtures in another corrupt political scene and/ or professors now, would that be ok with you? The mans a known terrorist, not a hero, mentor or good relationship to have for someone running for president.

It's funny that Cons want to make such a big issue of what Ayers did decades ago, instead of focusing on what he does now, but then cry foul when it is pointed out that McLame ABANDONED his crippled first wife.
Reply
Really, McLame ACTUALLY DID what he is indicted for.
However, Cons, the offer still stands - if you can find McLame's vows and they say, "in sickness or in health, unless she seriously gets f'ed up in a car accident", then I'll let it go.
I'm waiting, Cons.-

So, I guess you know that she has already spoken to the media, and that she fully supports him in all his pursuits, and that she takes partial blame for the breakup. We discussed this last week Con, it's a deadend, give it up already.

They can't. This and a few other foolish things are all the ammunition that they have. While we are getting item after item about Obama. This drives them nuts. Therefore they have to flail away with the things that they have. Even if it is a lie.

"'My marriage ended because John McCain didn't want to be 40, he wanted to be 25. You know that happens...it just does.'"
Sounds like she's taking plenty of the blame. McLame wanted a younger model, so he dumped his wife. Hey, it's what HEROES do.
