Why do we allow private banks to control the money supply of the United States?

When the government wants money they turn to these private banks (known as the Federal Reserve), and get them to turn on the printing press. The money is then lent to the government at interest, and it is us the general public that has to pay this back.

The core of our economic problems is the so-called Federal Reserve. They are not Federal and they have no reserves of anything except fiat money. For which we pay interest on for every single dollar printed. Folks, imagine how many people would be able to afford their mortgages (as well as everything else) if we did not have our salaries mugged by the Feds in the form of unconstitutional and illegal income taxation every time we got paid? Our main goal should be in abolishing this cartel of banksters. Neither John McCan't or Barack O'wonta brings this issue to the forefront. Ron Paul is the only one with the testicular fortitude to even dare bring up the issue ----- and we the public - forget it! We just keep on sleep-walking inside the two party matrix. Afraid to take the red pill (truth) offered by Morpheus (the greek god of sleep and dreams.).

there is no reason you cannot represent Ron Paul.
Bob Barr is a decent man. But, Ron Paul is that and much more!
