What abortion issue? You warmongering republicons are apparently for retroactive birth control. Witness all of the mass death you have unleashed on this planet. Starting with the Iraq abortion.

Inexperience seems to be ok for the puppeteers now. They were making that claim against Barry and then bring in this pot smoking youngster who is under investigation for abuse of power. Good job!-

AFTER 5 KIDS, I THINK THE STRETCH MARKS HAVE TAKEN OVER. REGARDLESS, THIS WHOLE EXPERIENCE ARGUMENT IS RIDCULOUS BECAUSE BETWEEN ALL 4 CANDIDATES, NOT ONE HAS ANY EXPERIENCE IN THE WHITE HOUSE - NO ONE EVER DOES UNLESS THEY'RE RUNNING FOR RE-ELECTION. AND WHO REALLY BELIEVES THAT THE PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT REALLY RUN ANYTHING OF MAJOR IMPORTANCE ANYWAY?

McCain, woke up out of his fog and saw, at the end of the Democratic convention, a Kennedyesque vision that must have pushed him over the edge. How else could you possibly explain his choice of Sarah Palin for VP?
Reply
I’m sure his first reaction, upon seeing Obama and Biden gathered there together with their family and friends, was to croak to some lackey, “Go and find me a family and some friends”.
But, someone must of reminded him that he already had a family and then advised him to perhaps rethink his idea of just dressing up his children, as adorable little black girls. He must have decided that Palin was the next best thing.
McCain’s relentless pandering to what ever group he finds himself in front of, or will do his bid for power the most good, has convinced me that man would do anything, say anything to become president. He’d campaign in knee highs, a pleated tartan skirt and a training bra if he thought it would help him win.
He seems to think that the American electorate is so stupid that they won’t be able to see that Hillary and Palin are not interchangeable, just because they are women. His belief that he can put someone in front of supposedly disgruntled Hillary supporters and win them over with republican values, just because she wears a skirt, borders on the delusional.
I hope all you republicans sleep better at night knowing that if something were to befall McCain when he was president, a moderately photogenic hockey mom would be at the helm.-

Obama campaigns on hope, change, no more politics as usual and when smacked in the face with his inexperience he picks Biden. A guy who has practiced politics as usual for 36 years, the ultimate Washington insider. He was against the wildly successful surge in Iraq. He called for political reconciliation in Iraq in the same breath as he called for the breakup of the country into various political and ethnic groups. His son is a lobbyist.
McCain on the other hand has only reinforced his image as a maverick and reformer by choosing a fellow maverick and reformer, a woman, to be his VP.
Obama has virtually no experience to be president so he picks a failed presidential candidate who sharply attacked him to be his number two. McCain, who has the experience, picks a governor who has some executive experience, who has a history of fighting politics as usual and is beholden to no one.
The dem ticket is upside-down, the repub ticket has experience on top.

The Presidential election was too close to call. Neither the Republican
Reply
candidate nor the Democratic candidate had enough votes to win.
There was much talk about ballot recounting, court challenges, etc.,
but a week-long ice fishing competition seemed the sportsmanlike
way to settle things. The candidate that caught the most fish at the
end of the week would win the election.
Therefore, it was decided that there should be an ice fishing contest
between the two candidates to determine the winner.
After much of back and forth discussion, it was decided that the
contest take place on a remote frozen lake in northern Minnesota .
There were to be no observers present, and both men were to be
sent out separately on this isolated lake and return at 5 P.M. with
their catch for counting and verification by a team of neutral parties.
At the end of the first day, John McCain returned to the starting line
and he had 10 fish.
Soon, Obama returned and had no fish. Well, everyone assumed he
was just having a 'bad hair' day or something and hopefully,
he would catch up the next day.
At the end of the 2nd day John McCain came in with 20 fish and Obama
came in again with none.
That evening, Sen. Harry Reid got together secretly with Obama
and said, 'Obama, I think John McCain is a low-life, cheatin' son-of-a-gun.
I want you to go out tomorrow and don't even bother with fishing.
Just spy on him and see just how he is cheating.'
The next night (after John McCain returns with 50 fish), Sen. Reid said
to Obama, 'Well, tell me, how is John McCain cheating?'
Obama replied, 'Harry, you're not going to believe this, but he's
cutting holes in the ice.'

The only reason that the Obama camp has made it as far as it has is because a "liberal" biased media has determined that they know whats best for America and have allied themselves with the liberal party to shove thier poster child (warts and all) and agenda down our throats. So its no surprise that Obama has emerged (so far) in this race relatively unscathed regardless of his past "shady" business dealings and (at best) questionable associations. He's got a free pass with the press so it's no surprise that he can dance around the issues, dodge the tough questions, point and make railing acusations about his opponents with relative impunity. His ramblings and silver tongued rhetoric are presented to us by the media as something wise, divine and inspirational and we're expected to stand awe-struck by this as though he's some kind of messiah. Well, I'm not buying it (this BS I mean). I'm going to vote for some real down to earth people: McCain-Palin have my vote.

How true. Yesterday on msnbc when they were showing "breaking news" about Palin the breaking news banner read: "How many houses will Palin add to the Republican ticket". Do they have ten-year-olds running the place?
Fair and balanced? They've heard of it.

Obama has come this far because Bush/Cheney screwed up on foreign politics, couldn't find Bin Ladin and didn't even try after 9/11, led us into a war with Iraq without planning and proper resources for our military people stationed there, screwed up the economy, healthcare, decreased funding for public schools. Bush/Cheney's policies led to home foreclosures, people have lost jobs. Bush/Cheney don't care about our war veterans. I live in California and when Clinton was President CA was prosperous.

Obama says...Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency.
Reply
Pretty damn silly when you consider that a former community organizer with zero foreign policy experience is in the running for the presidency, and that former community organizer put a do-nothing senator, much older than he is, a heartbeat away from the presidency on his ticket. Barack Obama - Junior Senator for 4 years, never held a hearing in the subcommittee he chaired. Hasn't represented the interests of the people of Illinois in the Senate because he hasn't been there. Voted "present" plenty often as senator in the Illinois Senate.
If the Democrats had an airline, the captain would be just out of flight school, and the co-pilot would be the one with years of experience.
And they'd criticize the Republican airline because the co-pilot had just moved up to large airliners after flying commuter planes.

No one has denigrated Hillary. She fought, she lost. As a woman myself, I would have voted for Hillary, now I will vote for Obama.
Reply
Obama has been very gracious in his campaign all along, and he granted Hillary the respect she deserves.
From everything I have read about Palin's professional background, from what I have seen listening to her speeches and her demeanor, I know world leaders we are in disagrrement with would never grant her any respect. They would laugh at her, behind her. In fact, Putin and Ahmedinejad are probably laughing at McCain's choice for VP since the day of his announcement.
Also, as a woman, I am pro choice. It's my body and only I get to decide what happens with. Not someone like Palin.

When Obama said it's time to pull our troops out of Iraq and let the Iraqis govern their own country, Bush/McCain laughed and McCain said he wanted our troops to stay in Iraq for 100 years. A few months later, Bush/McCain announced they want to plan with Iraq's government to pull our troops out of Iraq.
Reply
When Obama said we need to hold diplomatic talks with Ahmedinejad and tell him what's not acceptable, Bush/McCain laughed. A few weeks later, Rice got on TV, then a few months later McCain got on TV and they both said they would not rule out diplomatic talks with Iran.
McCain should just step back, and let Obama take the lead now!-

Stop it pc. You say; "McCain said he wanted our troops to stay in Iraq for 100 years."
Reply
McCain: "We've been in Japan for 60 years," he said. "We've been in South Korea for 50 years or so. That would be fine with me, as long as Americans are not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed."
Please stop spreading that tripe.
The US has had backdoor diplomatic relations with Iran through Switzerland since 1979. Low level meetings have also occurred recently in and through Iraq. Iran is not unaware of the US and the Western world's positions just as everyone knows Iran's positions.
Obama presents a weak face to those countries who publicly support "death to America" rallies. It is dangerous to cede undue status or position to those who proudly and publicly support international terrorism.
