What do you think? Does Palin still have the mental capacity to be the leader of the free world...or is her brain so fried that she can no longer function?Was marijuana a gateway drug the led her to doing harder drugs? After all,she is an admitted pothead.

Who cares some of the greatest minds of our and times passed used drugs! Please people let's debate the issues. This type of silly talk is why we got 8 years of bush...one would think we would have learned from this. As a DEM i hope this is not what we olan to do. I think we have enough with her firing someone because he wouldn't fire someone. What she smoked has nothing to do with her governing skills!

Funny thing Harbeas, you all made a mountain out of Clinton saying he didn't enhale, yet there's no point to the fact that Dubya is an admitted cocain user, drunk and the same with Cindy McCain, drug addict, theif, smuggler, adulterer, and that just a few of the things we KNOW about. Now it's no big deal that Palin smoked pot, but if that was Michelle Obama what would your response have been?

“Senator McCain’s choice for a running mate is beyond belief. By choosing Sarah Palin, McCain has clearly made a decision to continue the Bush legacy of destructive environmental policies.
“Sarah Palin, whose husband works for BP (formerly British Petroleum), has repeatedly put special interests first when it comes to the environment. In her scant two years as governor, she has lobbied aggressively to open up the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to drilling, pushed for more drilling off of Alaska’s coasts, and put special interests above science. Ms. Palin has made it clear through her actions that she is unwilling to do even as much as the Bush administration to address the impacts of global warming. Her most recent effort has been to sue the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to remove the polar bear from the endangered species list, putting Big Oil before sound science. As unbelievable as this may sound, this actually puts her to the right of the Bush administration.
“This is Senator McCain’s first significant choice in building his executive team and it’s a bad one. This is a waste of an article and completely left wing. What is wrong with you people?? Ever heard of environmentalists!! They are the reason we haven't been able to use our own resources for decades. You agree with this sh*t!! Oh yeah, I see, you want to keep giving your money to the middle east. On a side note... those polar bears are far from endangered, they are overpopulating the areas they live in. Far from the sad story Mr. Gore painted. Studies are still inconclusive that our greenhouse gases contribute to global warming. But there is a correlation between the solar flares and our planets climate patterns. I suggest you do some research before you post such crap!!

I think the most damaging and hypocritical part of her "admission" is that the words "... when it was legal in Alaska", is always a little pinned on tail to make the marijuana smoking "acceptable" to more stupid (conservative-types) people.

Equally damaging is the "didn't like it" part.
When she adds "when it was legal in Alaska", I hope that means that in places where it is "legal" for medicinal purposes, that she supports those peoples' use of this medicine....
However, as she is an anti-choice person, and a *chuckle* "feminist" beauty pageant participant, it's pretty clear that we're dealing with little more than a beauty/popularity contest winner here. -

Sarah may have taken the inexperience issue out of McCains pocket, though she has done some good things while Gov. for a couple of years. She's cut, taxes, she got rid of the jet she thought they didn't need she's stood up to the oil companies and her own party, cut the size of her state's government. She's articulate, young, has brought much needed energy to the McCain camp. She practiced what she preaches in the fact that she redused to take the easy way out and have an avortion when she new she would have a special needs child.-
