McCain/Palin Continue To Kick The Hell Out Of Obama »
Posted By caseythehost 1 year, 3 months ago in NewsThis is just too much. You all know how Palin is generating the conservative base that McCain didn' t have before. The libs are scared to death, and it is blatantly clear given their personal attacks on Palin being a mother with special needs child. However, it has just gotten better.

"The libs are scared to death"
Reply
I am writing this from under my bed.
I am terrified of this Palin creature; she is a mother with a hockey stick and she frightens me.
Oh sure, you laugh; you say she is a young under-educated creation-science featherweight from the border of nowhere, a state-level functionary of less than 2 years who is already under serious ethics investigation.
Well, maybe YOUR mom never chased YOU with a hockey stick.
I'm under the bed.
Come get me out for Obama's inaugural.-

"The libs are scared" - That caught my eye as well, CRYMTYPHON.
Reply
Forget the libs - the whole darned country should be scared!
I wonder if the rest of the world thinks America has been affected by
something in the water - or air pollution - or WHAT?
Remember the headlines after GW Bush was elected - they coudn't
believe it - they wondered HOW we could have elected him.
They must be puzzled that such a great nation would show
such little respect for THEMSELVES. I KNOW I deserve better
than a 20-month wonder - what is the matter with my fellow
citizens?
When asked by a friend - I said that they had publically, and
without a bit of shame - had put lipstick on a pig and were
waiting to see if it would fly! -

LMAO... Just what makes you FOS cons think anyone believes you care whether anyone is "living in a cardboard box on a dollar a month"? Who do you think believes you people care about anything but tax cuts and having a perpetual supply of cheap gas? Exactly...No one believes lying cons even have a heart, so stop pretending you care about how anyone other than yourselves is living. Thanks. ;-)

"The McCain campaign's new message dovetailed with two themes the campaign had already been planning to promote at the Republican convention--his desire to improve the quality of government and his determination to excite Americans to increase their participation in service for the public good. During a Sunday interview with NBC News, McCain said he was even considering accepting his party's nomination Thursday not from the convention floor in St. Paul as planned, but via satellite from somewhere in the storm ravaged region. The opening slate of convention speakers Monday, which included an address by President Bush, was also swept clean, leaving only a barebones schedule of parliamentary procedures."

Looks to me like Obama's opponent is taking on the "Christ-like/celebrity" stand they accused Obama of...I imagine Obama's opponent standing with a staff (much like Charleton Heston in Ben Hur) amid the ruins of Cocoderie, LA...
Hope they have a camera/video crew on hand...sounds like a major photo op...-

And that's just what the Hurricane ravaged region needs, McCain to come down and get in the way of the cleanup so he can make a statement. When are politicians going to learn to stop taking advantage of people in need for their own benefit.
Reply
I would also like to know what exactly Obama is supposed to do? His convention is over. Should he offer to fly the Democratic delegates home to where they already are? Since he is not yet president the best thing that he can do is stay out of the way and let the people do their job.

the libs are so NOT sacared of palin. maybe we should be a bit more diligent about her, but its downright comical that McCain could have made such a bad choice for his running mate.
Reply
and now there's all this stuff coming out about how her youngest child (the one with downs syndrome) is actually her oldest child's child. you'd think this would have been discovered during the vetting process, but then its McCain, so its no surprise he dropped the ball.
face it cons, McCain's gamble is a bust.-

Speaking of October surprises, you do know that the Obama birth certificate issue continues to percolate in the background, right?
Reply
The KOZ certificate of life birth has been shown to be a complete fraud, and O will not release his birth certificate. A lawsuit by a Clinton supporter continues to wind its way through the courts.

This is hilarious! Who in their right mind would be scared of an over-the-hill temperamental has been flip-flopper who chooses a VP that totally makes his opponent look `experienced`?
Reply
Either argument the cons try, that Palin is more experienced or less experienced backfires in their faces!
If Palin is more experienced than Obama (we all know that`s a lie), than she`s just as more experienced than McCain. This is actually quite dangerous because to have a better VP than the presidential candidate just makes the presidential candidate look that much more lacking.
Now, we all know that the `hockey mom` has nowhere near as much experience as Obama. And `experience`, although a complete logical fallacy of an attack, was the only thing the cons had of any substance to use against Obama. Now they no longer have that.
Horrible judgment call, which makes me believe everybody higher up on the list already turned McCain down for the VP position. -

Actually, the liberal columnists and editors are pathetically trying to push Obama's experience. Here is one editorial from the Mercury News in California:
Reply
"Republicans will argue that Palin is no less experienced than Obama. That's ridiculous. In the Senate, in organizing a stunningly successful national campaign and through 18 months of hard campaigning for the nomination, Obama proved to be as capable, articulate and knowledgeable as anyone in Congress — and certainly the equal of McCain."
"Proved to be capable?" Articulate, we'll give you that. That's all Obama has, basically ... he speaks good ... as long as there's a teleprompter around. Put him on his own and you get the ems, uhs and ahs full force.
And his Senate experience and campaign organizing ability?
Point 1: Obama actually was in the Senate for about 143 days before he announce for the presidency and essentially became a part time Senator.
Point 2: Obama didn't organize the campaign. He brought in some very capable people to do that for him. What he proved here is that he can hire effective people. Who's to say Palin can't?
So there you have it, Obama is qualified to be president because he has proved to run a "stunningly successful national campaign." -

More importantly, how good a job did the McCain camp do in the vetting process? ABC reported that a number of McCain staffers were headed to Alaska this evening to do research. Apparently they are worried what the press will find out as they(the press) are headed there in droves now.
Reply
My guess is the vetting process wasn't so good, or the staffers wouldn't be going there. -

So McCain staging a giant photo op in New Orleans is supposed to convince us that he cares? He voted against Katrina relief on numerous occasions. Voted against the minimum wage consistently. Voted against equal pay for equal work for women. Lobbied against the GI Bill for vets. Yet he wants to keep the tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans. Even though he voted against them twice. He wants to keep subsidizing the oil industry even though Chevron and Exxon have each posted the largest profits in history the last few years. Typical republican. Meanwhile, the article neglects to tell us that the Obama campaign is actually mobilizing their donors to donate funds for Gustav relief. That is real action. Having McCain put on a hard hat and walk around the city will do nothing.

All you have to be in this country is white to be picked for one of the highest offices in the United States, in fact, any office. You do not have to have the qualifications, just along as you are white. Obama is definitley qualified to be President, and over and over again you hear he does not have the experience. This woman, Palin, gets picked as the VP choice, and you hear the pundits defending her. She has no qualifications what so ever. It is only because she is white, she is assumed to be smarter, and better qualified. Will this country ever change?

Sarah Palin has astoundingly good judgment, which she demonstrated in April by giving a speech in Texas AFTER her water breaks, then gets on an airplane for an eight or nine hour flight back to Alaska, followed by an hour's drive to a podunk hospital where she can deliver her premature, special needs Downs baby who could possibily have cardiac issues. Yep, that;s the gal we need answering the phone at 3 a.m.

Obama can't do anything on his own. His handlers have to tell him what to say and what to do, and it takes a meeting of 200 to agree on the plan.
Reply
Oh, not so good. The libs might even say that Obama’s actions are very Bush-esc.
No doubt the left will downplay the McCain move as a political stunt. So what.
There are several delegates who get a free ride home as a result of this “political stunt” while Obama was too lazy to even attempt a political stunt of his own.
Besides, this is exactly what the left has said they wanted in a leader. Someone who will make an appearance just for the sake of making one. To let victims know they aren’t forgotten … remember?
Since the addition of Palin to the ticket … Obama has been virtually non-existent to the world. His team is no doubt trying to figure out how they are going keep this from being a landslide defeat. After all, he couldn’t defeat McCain when the conservative base wasn’t energized and supporting him. Now that they are energized … what to do Obama, what to do?-

I'm reading one of Barack Abama's books. They sound a lot like his speaches, an invitation for communication, a willingness to be honest and responsible. I'm not willing to fight over who's better cause you're right in you're world and I'm right in mine. Maybe, just may be if we agree that we all have points of view that are just as valid as the others, we can start a real discourse for something that works in our country and the world.

I just don't know about this pick. She is certainly a go-getter and stands vehemently by her belief system. She's too much of a social conservative for my personal beliefs, but you can't be too much of a fiscal conservative to suit me. I do admire her though! I think McCain is making a big gamble with her, but sometimes big bets pay off!

The problem with this "fiscal conservative" argument is that it's like praising Iraq for being fiscally conservative with its oil revenue. Where's the challenge in being fiscally conservative in a state that's never been starved for cash. If she was crowing about being fiscally conservative in South Dakota or Kentucky or Mississippi I'd be more impressed. ;-[

This ridiculous headline is wishful thinking and is written out of fear from someone who already knows Obama will be the next president. It's sad that Obama pushes you so far out of your little provincial comfort zone that you try to create baseless spin. I suggest you get used to it now or get your doctor to prescribe you something for your anxiety so you can survive through Obama's first term. Guess what, it's inevitable. Deal with it.

I am a Hillary supporter. I don't get your post. What does 17 year olds having babies have to do with our vote? What does having a baby "out of wedlock" have to do with anything. (By the way, like that antiquated term "out of wedlock").

Are you saying that a baby is any less precious because the mother and father aren't married?
It seems to me that thousands and thousands of women are choosing to have babies all on their own now-days!
