i am a woman and palin would NEVER represent me. and she is SO NOT the most qualified - Mcsame was pandering, thinking that he could just replace a history making, proven woman like hillary with just another "skirt" and get me to vote for him and her. Well, he is wrong. I am a woman and a single mom and palin, and mccain too, can never represent me:
Reply
she would do even more harm than bush to the environment
she does not believe in global warming - same coloring book as bush again
she wants to drill everywhere
her running mate has NEVER voted for alternative energy
she laughs when other women are called bit__ on a public radio
she is a member of the AIP that thinks it can start its own country
she is OK with book banning and will bully librarians to get her way
she has hacked into computers in campaigns to get her way
she was before the bridge before she was against it and "forgot" that
she has troopergate and now wants to transfer the case to her cronies
she thinks God ordained the war
she left her town $27 million in debt - a town of LESS than 10,000
she HAS used lobbyist - we are just supposed to ignore that fact
her running mate VOTED AGAINST equal pay for equal work
mccain and his family spent $900,000 on ONE credit vcard in ONE month - he has no clue about the economy
mccain wants to, and VOTED for privatization of social security - my parents depend on that!
mccane health care - the cost for a famly of four for insurance is $13,000 A YEAR by a recent study - he will give you a $5000 tax credit - and tax any benefits from employers. Does he think the insurance companies are just going to suddenly LOWER their costs.
his probable financial advisor - phil graham - thinks all this is in our heads!
as a woman - i say NO WAY. and there needs to be vetting, and public discourse. i AM SICK of sound bites - she "has done so much" - what??????? when she was mayor WE ARE TALKING LESS THAN 1000 PEOPLE WHO ELECTED HER - that needs to be known. Alaska has a population SMALLER THAN Columbus, Ohio - true fact. And she has 18 months experience.
and tax breaks - Obama will cut the taxes for anyone making less than $250,000, eliminate capital gains tax on small businesses AND the low income elderly will pay NO taxes. ONLY the very rich (at least to little old me) will get an increase.-

Why should people that are smart enough, or hard enough workers have to pay a higher percent of their income in taxes than those that aren't? You are punishing acheivement. I use to run a bar, and I would hear people bitch about how they could not afford health care, but at the same tine they were spending $100 a week or more in the bar and probably another $50 a week on cigarettes. The way to affordable health care is tort reform. If you get rid of the frivalous law suits (not going to happen with a democrat, trial lawyers are their biggest supporters), insurance would be a lot more affordable for everyone.

If you want to create more jobs, you lower corporate taxes not raise them. Companys move their business overseas because of our high corporate taxes. So we lose all of the corporate taxes, and all so the personal income tax from the people they use to employ. Also the stock market is a major influence in the economy and corporate profits control the market, so over taxing hurts the economy.
It should not be the governments job to provide anything more than 1) national security 2) federal law enforcement 3) provide montetary system 4) regulate interstate commerce 5) highway system. All the other BS is what costs us so much money.
I am in finance now, and I see people that are making 6 figures that came here with nothing and worked their way up. This is still the land of opportunity. Unfortunately a large portion of this country is stupid and lazy and wants to be taken care of.
The real solution to having the best president would be to get rid of the party system. If you let everyone run in a primary type system and you narrowed it down to the best 3 and let them run against each other for president, I think that would yield someone most of us could be happy with. The current system gave us Bush vrs Kerry; how sad is that.
Obama does not have the experience to be President; while McCain may not be the man we really need at this point, he is a far better option. McCain is a moderate that is liked and respected by many of the democrats in the Senate and Congress. He has the best chance of getting government to work together. Clinton and Bush both have polarized this country; Obama would do the same.
Palin is a non issue, she is no more inexperienced than Obama. I think she would be a decent VP; let's just hope McCain does not die in office. -

The bridge legislation occurred and passed in 2005 ...
She took office on December 6, 2006 and immediately stopped it.
Your Messiah had the opportunity to put your choice of a woman on his ticket. A women who got more votes in the primary than he did and carried EVERY MAJOR STATE EXCEPT ILLINOIS. This decision would have guaranteed the win for your party.
Instead, he threw her away and chose an elitist, egocentric career politician in Joe Biden that provided no help for his campaign. Brilliant move. Why? Because he doesn't want to share the glory.
So the Republicans bring on a bright charismatic young woman to their ticket, but she's too dumb and ignorant for you. Too bad, so sad.-

No one said she was dumb or ignorant, just not qualifed for the VP position. At least Biden has over 25 years in the Senate and IS chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. She has NO exposure to national issues of foreign policy. Being a member of the PTA, a hockey mom, and mayor of a small town in Alaska does NOT qualify her to be a heartbeat away from the presidency!

So did you just cut copy or paste from the DNC website talking points? First, Hillary would be a terrible choice as president or VP. Over the years of "dodging" bullets at airports, she's been cause lying, cheating and misplacing records. You want scandals, answer a few questions. How can the smartest lawyer in the world misplace the Rose law firms records in her own office in the White House? Trooper gate? Are you talking about the Arkansas governor's security detail? Oh that was a Palin attack. How about travel gate or her health care plan. Forgetting that Bill was the elected official and worked for the people. She was the first lady.

On privatizing Social Security, I think it would be a great idea. I've seen the numbers I'm supposed to get and what I've put in. I'll never collect. My father never did and neither did my grand father. In a private account this could be another wealth transfer towards other family members. With the current system, it's gone.
