First, in Wisconsin you don't have to take the Bar if you attended a state school or Marquette. Does Illinois if he attended Harvard?

Secondly, he likes playing the race card when it suites him. For him to get into Harvard at that time, he would have had to. We're talking the 80's. At that time, it was an old boys network. For a minority to get in there, it's almost certain. Old Boys, even older money. He claims to have had school loans. Old money usually trumps that. He attended because he helped them meet racial quotas. Sad.

I am a product of Annapolis and I ended up at the War College. For me race meant very little. My class of 300 had over 12,000 applicants. Race or gender didn't matter. In fact I remember that was blocked out on our final letters of intent. We competed as equals. My classmates and I earned our positions because of our abilities and skills not because of the color of our skin.

In order to graduate from Harvard, did Obama have to pass his exams?
Are you saying with affirmative action, people of color get a degree handed to them without passing their exams and getting the right grades? Cause I've heard of affirmative action, but I've never heard of people getting their degrees handed to them without doing the work for it.
And Bush didn't ever used connections? Bush doesn't have "old money?" What about McCain, who left his former wife for a wealthy woman, Cindy?

Passing exams and a Bar exam are two different things, but not in Wisconsin and a few other states. Color does effect at times. Stop by schools like MSOE for their "business" degree. While a great school of engineering, the business is a joke. It's like a journalism degree from one of our state schools. It prepares you for working in the food service industry, that's about it.

As far as Bush, I'm sure it did. But again, Barry's race not skills got him where he is today. Along with a lot of luck.

I don't believe affirmative action, though it may get a colored person's foot in the door into an educational institution or a job, actually offers a colored person a degree or job advancement without hard work on their part.

Obama has used his race much less, then Bush & McCain have used their race (white and born in this country which attracts the religious, conservative Republicans who have a lot in comon with the Taliban), family backgrounds, old, old money, and family connections.
Obama is much more self made then Bush and McCain put together.
