"Let's get right to Sarah Palin and her speech last night. I was not impressed. I felt that she made a lot of attacks, and many of them don't check out with the facts. She obviously had a speech prepared for her and had been rehearsed. I don't think in the future we will ever see her that well-versed again."

I am from Metro Detroit and you should double check your facts. The Detroit Mayor was not allowed to attend the convention. This is just another (failed and false) attempt to smear Obama by association.

Giuliani blaming "liberals" for current problems and Republican political corruption when Conservatives CONTROLLED all three branches of government for more than half a decade was SOME sh*t-faced, sh*t-eating, sh*tty-a*sed, sh*t-for-brains, LYING sh*t...

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to swear when referring to that Neocon anal dropping.

I meant to describe him as the creep who keeps PROMISING martial law for America. What a sh*t. Oops, sorry again...

I cannot believe that this article made the front page...Again, another liberal, non-true, crap story from the left....

Everything Palin said about Osama was factual and right on.....And to even say that Republicans are the "hate-mongers" is defintely the pot calling the kettle here....

Who threw her 17-year old pregnant daughter under the bus? Who started a rumor that her youngest with downs was actually her granddaughter? Who's the a-holes that said that she's a mom and how can she be fit or have time to be a VP AND also handle the responsibilities of being a mom....

Nobody asked single dad, hair-plug, Biden how he can handle being a VP for Osama... No....Just Palin, because she's a Republcian conservative and just like the wussies you guys are whenever you guys get scared or nervous, you start attacking them viciously like the scumbags you libs are....

And "drill now" chanting? Again, if you would have listen to ANY of the speeches, which I'm sure you didn't, the drill now is to help bring the price down at the pump while we invest in other alternative fuel sources like nuclear, clean coal and natural gas....It's going to take 10 years or so before we can get these other fuel sources up and running....What do we do in the interim, libs ? Just continue to allow our enemies to have us by the balls by relying on foreign oil....$10 a gallon ? Is that what you liberals really want ? You see, the misperception you clowns cannot and will not get is that "drill here and drill now" is temoporary...We're not saying that this is ALL we are going to do to correctl our energy reliance....unplug your ears and you might actually learn something...

It's a temporary fix to a long-term problem, but you libs would rather us sit on our thumbs and do nothing....

        like the Democrap Congress....

Now FSU82 don't pee your pants, if someone is using NeoCon tactics on NeoCons, I think it is an honorable thing to do. If you can dish it out you should be able to take it without whining like a mistreated k9.

Personally I would prefer that both sides come together like gentlemen and talk about the issues and how they plan to pay for them. But that isn't going to happen because McCain wants to run the election without issues and continues to attack, attack, and lie.

I say the democrats should take their gloves off and do some a$$kicking themselves, that Klondike Barbie shouldn't get a free pass, the republicans never gave Hillary any slack and lied about her for years.

          Go Gators, skin the Noles!!!

              that FSU education fails again....

everything Palin said about Obama was factual?

not even close. an easy one: Plain said he'd raise taxes on America, when in fact, obama will give tax breaks to 95% of America.

              see how easy that was?

so on that point, you're wrong.

On bristol palin, I haven't seen any attacks on her directly. I've seen many directed at her parents for allowing their daughter to be sexually active while she was supposedly out of school for six months with a horrendous, contagious case of mono. (check your time line, this is what the GOP is saying, not me).

Palin is the one who decided to accept the VP nomination. what did she, and you, think would happen? its time for America to vet her in the court of public opinion, and so far, most of us don't like what we see.

so on that point, you're wrong.

nobody asked Biden how he could handle being VP? maybe thats because he's qualified for the job and everybody knows it. duh.

so on that point, you're wrong.

drill to save money? thats simply a fantasy and everyobody with at least half a brain knows it. the price of gas will go down a measley 4 cents /gallon if we drilled everywhere we could. and it would take 10 years for that 4 cent savings to kick in. study after study has already proved it.

AND...if the GOP is so into drilling, why aren't they drilling in the 10 MILLION ACRES that have already been set aside for drilling? they've got the permits, the leases are signed, and they can drill in those places RIGHT NOW, but they're not doing it. why?

so on that point, you're wrong and terribly uninformed.

the libs would rather us sit on their thumbs and do nothing, like the Democrap Congress?

um, since 2006 THE GOP HAS INSTIGATED A RECORD 72 FILIBUSTERS!! so its the GOP who is stopping the will of the people. and you simply didn't know it.

so on that point, you're wrong and uninformed.

you're doing a very poor job convincing anyone of FSU's educational prowess. don't be surprised if someone from admissions contacts you ordering you to quit using their name. cause its straight up embarrassing.

                You got it wrong.

The oil companies are leasing upwards of 60+ MILLION ACRES that they're currently not drilling or exploring.

Think of FSU's name as a warning for college students. A good example of what college one should not attend for basic logic and research skills.

Not to mention that if drilling was the answer to all of our energy problems, why didn't they open up drilling when they had total control and no one to stop them? President Bush didn't lift the ban until after the Republicans lost control of congress. It is nothing more than a stunt.

Do you mean the ones from McBush and Palin that put money into the pocket of corporations and the military industrial complex?

Or the ones from Obama/Biden that put some of that money into the pockets of everyday Americans instead of people already pulling down 6-8 figure salaries?

Nothing could cost us as much as we are wasting on this war in Iraq which was completely unnecessary and based on lies. Why is it that no Republican (except Ron Paul) ever questions that? Bush and the Republicans have given us the highest deficits in history!!! And how about that lovely prescription drug program that they created? It's costing about twice what it was supposed to as well.

CNN didn't get the camera to the protesters as quickly as you claim. Did you watch the scene?
There were protestors outside as well. Are you accusing CNN of something? Be specific, oops I forgot Republicans can only make false, vague accusations which can never be substantiated.

Repuublicans can't dance in the physical context, because that is a social activity. Republicans can dance around issues though.

They were very quick. What are you talking about? I saw it happening.

Yes, I think CNN could have known in advance the protests were coming.

The only reason I had it on CNN was because they have HD. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother.

I saw the camera move to the people who were protesting inside. It was not that quick & did not appear to be pre planned.
As far as the protests that were held outside, I am sure the entire world knew there were going to be some protestors outside.

Have you ever noticed that there never a Republincan that busts into a Democratic gathering to try and out scream a 10,000 watt PA system?

My dysgraphia must have been especially bad when I submitted this story. It should obviously read "Palin 'Too Belittling' ..." instead of how it ended up.

                        Sorry about that, everyone.

Actually, I thought you got it exactly right. "Too Palin", as in too much and that she was too belittling at the RNC.

Okay, maybe that's stretching a bit.

The Palin response to our energy crisis is drill, drill, drill...from oil to natural gas. And dig, dig, dig for more coal, then turn it to oil...more oil, oil, oil. We can not drill or dig our way out of our energy problems.

I would grant that as a short term policy of weaning us off imported consumption of oil, some domestic drilling and digging is inevitable but with the stipulation that the product will be refined in America and consumed in America and with sufficent environmental safeguards. If these environmental safeguards cost too much then don't drill or dig. My health and the health of the rest of Americans are precious commodities, too. And since many Americans can't afford heathcare insurance, it's important not to pollute the environment and provide a breeding ground for disease and the rise of healthcare costs.

But in the national interests of American security and economic independence from foreign energy sources in the future, America must produce alternate domestic energy sources. And that must start now, not later, before it's too late.

That is a nice thought, but until alternatives are as cheap as oil, coal or gas. It is a losing proposition for any company. Is the price of gas to high, not really, it has just kept pace with inflation.

What cost 25 cents in 1969 should cost $4.00 now. The only time when Gas got really out of line was during Jimmy Carter's term.

I loved Palin's speech, and considering her teleprompter was not fully working it makes it even more impressive. I enjoyed Rudy's speech too. McCain's speech was not all that great though, but at least it was not full of lies like BO's.

That point has been contested. It is easy for someone to make up rumors (good or bad) and put them out on the internet. It is often less easy to verify.

It was written for her and she practiced it before delivering it so no wonder she remembered the lines even if the teleprompter stopped. I thought Rudy's speech was absolutely ridiculous and he looked like a fool!

"I really like Palin. I wish her well." I think you missed my point. Palin sort of contradicts herself if she is yelling, "drill, drill, drill!" And then turns around and says we still need to find alternative energy sources. While she is screaming front and center in the full style of a hockey mom from the sidelines, she must fail to realize that many creative minds and businesses have already located, developed, and are now producing those alternative sources!!!

The technology of "alternative energy" at the moment is "something else organic". We can't burn rocks or other inorganic materials, the only gas is hydrogen which is down the road.

So ... do we burn old organic material or NEW organic material. If we choose new, then we have to GROW it for fuel. That will require HUGE amounts of acreage to grow the daily equivalent of 20 million BPD of fuel. We would have to clear cut billions of acres to grow this product, have the people to farm it, have the energy to plow it, harrow it, plant it, harvest it, move it to market, process it into a usable fuel, move it to your service station. In addition, it will have to be subsidized as ethanol is today.

If the release of carbon is your mantra, new organic material, combined with the energy to produce fuel from it will NOT reduce carbon release.

I wish allyou whiners would give the the rest of a break for a couple of days now that the conventions have been held. Whatever your political faction is, I 'd rather we diid something rather than nothing (like the current Congress seems inclined) concerning the foreign oil dependency situation. Now I know the left, along with the greens, trumpet their new alternative fuel source mantra and have for decades, yet they always fail to note that at the moment none are available other than wind, nuclear, coal and natural gas. None of these seem to please them or the media, (witness the Not in my backyard phenomena we are witnessing at this very moment when someone suggests building transmission lines ro plants) so we get snookered into the old "Republicans are greedy mantra". I myself favor solar energy, but fully realize that the folks with the resources to develop that source aren't very likely to spend a whole lot to produce a technology that would eventually put them out of the profit loop. The only cost and hope for a return being the initial price on the solar panel, then most likely being forced to buy any extra energy produced but unused by the consumer. Not exactly a win -win for the manufacturers in my opinion. The sun being free to all with a solar panel substantially limits their potential profit margin, which is not what your average businessman or woman is in buisness for, not to mention their board and stockholders. We are gonna have to start educating the masses that investers do so for a return, in fact the biggest return they can manage on every product we all use on a daily basis. If we were all honest about the only thing being rpomised the average American is more giveaways which in my opinion are very unlikely to happen after the election is concluded, mainly due to a general lack of funds. Now tyat Obama is repositioning himself on defense issues leke he did last night, he also will be hard pressed to foind his available funding , unless of course the Republicans are right and he taxes us all to death. I am like the rest of teh middle class, struggling to pay the bills, and if saddled with a bunch of new taxes, users fees, and carbon usage taxes would seee my lifestyle drastically reduced. Most of the new tax suggestions are being used to find ways to give more money to the folks who don't really seem to conntribute much in the society in my opinion, the welfare recipients, college kids and illegal aliens. I think its time for the flat tax or consumption tax to be implimented nationwide so that when you buy stuff you pay taxes, not when you earn a wage. That way each person has a direct influence in what he pays or does not pay in taxes each year, and ecah and every consumer pays his fair share, with no more freeloading by the lazy. If you can work at all you should be required to do so to recieve any publuic assistance, no matter how many kids you have or intend to have.

I heard Gov. Schwarzeneggar say there would be no further drilling off of California, that the beaches would be protected from it and the last I saw he's a republican!

well, what most people don't realize, which is what makes the repubs sound so good...er...bad when they say drill, drill, drill...is that it doesn't matter what the fed does as far as relaxing or eliminating the drilling ban...

If the STATES don't want it...IT won't EVER be drilled!

but keep up that lame talk neos, it shows how stupid and hoodwinked you all really are.

no offense to you GEM, I'm just sayin.....

I'm more than happy to build more and more nuclear plants as long as you're willing to have the spent rods buried in seismically active ground less than 100 miles from your state's most populous city and your state's main source of revenue. Hey, while we're at it, let's transport the said waste the LONG way around and go through all of your state's major metropolitan areas so as not to go anywhere near any place in the state represented by the presidential candidate who's ready to open the repository now, PRIOR to all required testing being completed.

Really, as soon as those conditions sound good to the residents of your state let us know and we'll begin shipping the radioactive waste of other states to you guys. Until then, maybe you should quit disparaging the NIMBY mentality of others.

I don't. JoeSchlock's got it right. She's a lying sack of sh!t IMO. E.g., if she truly is the mother of the down's syndrome boy, why doesn't she just release her medical records of the delivery? Easy way to squelch the rumors, eh? But instead, the ho throws her daughter under the bus, saying she's "5 months" pregnant. Convenient number, considering the boy was born 4 months ago. We have no proof, other than Palin's well maligned word, that the daughter's even pregnant, much less five months along. This smells like a first class cover up. The dumbf*ck American public and MSM is in massive denial. If Palin would cover up something like this, imagine what she might cover up if McBush croaked, and she became prez.

This is beautiful. Everyone is either having an orgasmic fit for or against Palin. That is exactly
the reason that we get the worst politicians to run. Which good and decent person would put
up with the garbage that is our there? Beginning with the press idiots and the brood of vipers who only care about getting their stupid stories listened to. Keith says it is illegal to tell when you are called to go overseas. The obnoxious drive by is stupidly wrong. One gets called and reports to a staging area and susequently assigned where they want. Once you know the
place you are going to be you can't tell where it is you are deployed to.

With Palin's nomination that's exactly what you got...the worst politician to run.
Poor McCain, the Vietnamese couldn't break him, but the GOP did.
He will say anything to be president and choose as his running mate the favorite of the right wing pundits (and it's not PUNDENTS) as the newest flag bearers choose to say.
Palin's NUK-U-LAR brings her to the warmest cockles of the blackest GOP heart.

I think community organizers do not qualify for president. A few paultry years and mayor of a town of less than 10,000 and governer of one of the least populated states in the union makes you ready to lead a country of more than 300 million people makes you more experience than Biden with 30+ years in the senate. Palin is laughable. After her speech I think she more qualify to be a comedian in country clubs. After listening to her I think McCain is not even qualified to be a president either, he has never held executive office and has never ran anything. I am sure Palin is convinced that the Rep. have their ticket backward and that she should be at the top of the ticket....It is only funny that she got a passport issued for the first time in 2007.
You know republicains have messed up bad and are ashamed of their did, when the head of their party, Bush, and Cheney along with their families are not invited to their convention and their names are not mentioned. How many times have the democrats recalled the Clintons years and mentioned the Clinton compare to the republicains talking about either of the Bushes. And they want us to keep them in power.

Did anyone notice when McCain mentioned an unnamed person taking money from the Indian tribes for political persons and going to prison for it? I saw on pbs some of that money went to Tom Delay in Texas and he was a speaker at the convention! It was to keep gambling out of Texas because the casinos in Louisiana would lose alot of money. Also, I don't care for the whining high pitched voice of Palin... She won't make me vote for their ticket and I'm an independent voter and a woman...

Our economy is in the tanks because we’re fighting a costly, unnecessary war to protect the profits of corporations and the wealthy who ship our jobs offshore. Clearly, they’re attempting to wrap their hard times in the flag and sell it as “patriotic”. Well, I’m a liberal patriot and I say it’s time to take back the country from the greedy few that have benefited over the last 8 years, not give them another 4 years to further transfer wealth from 95% of us to less than 5% of them.

With no experience in world affairs, ultra conservative, history of abuse of power, and a husband who belongs to a party that supported the secession of Alaska from the Union, and disrepected the flag, I think we are going to be in major trouble...the thought of is is so scary even Stephen King would not use it for a novel or a movie.

He has no experience and until the press asked about it, he belonged to a black supremacist church and came up with some load of crap about why he wouldn't wear a flag pin nor say the pledge. That was until the cameras were rolling. Kind of when he decided not to visit the wounded and played basket ball.

Explain why he voted over 100 times present instead of actually voting up or down. Tell me again how someone who has never crossed the isle to shake hands with the other side will actually sit down and work with them. He's known as a rubber stamp in the Chicago Daley world. What books, I mean legislation has he actually sponsored while in the Senate? That's what I thought. He's a Hollywood politician. Votes only with the party, reads the scripts as written and looks okay on camera. Like a Lava light, not too bright but pretty to look at.

PALIN: "Before I became governor of the great state of Alaska, I was mayor of my hometown."

REALITY: UNDER PALIN, WASILLA GOVERNMENT SPENDING & DEBT SKYROCKETED.

Total Government Expenditures Increased 63 Percent Under Palin. In fiscal 2003—the last fiscal year Palin approved the budget—the total government expenditures of Wasilla, excluding capital outlays, were $7,046,325. In fiscal 1996—the year before Palin took control of the budget—the expenditures were $4,317,947. The increase was 63 percent. [Wasilla Comprehensive Annual Financial Report 2003, Table 1]

Palin Supported Increasing Wasilla Sales Tax From 2 to 2.5 Percent to Build $14.7 Million Sports Center. "Wasilla residents have given the go ahead to building a new multiuse sports center in town and to raising the city sales tax to pay for it. With the final votes counted Friday, residents voted 306 to 286 in favor of a measure to raise the city sales tax from 2 percent to 2.5 percent to pay the estimated $14.7 million cost of building the center…Mayor Sarah Palin, who supported the measure, said the tight vote will motivate city officials to keep a close eye on the budget for the center." Palin Left Behind Almost $19 Million In Long-Term Debt, Compared to None Before She Was Mayor. In fiscal 2003—the last fiscal year Palin approved the budget—the bonded long-term debt was $18,635,000. In fiscal 1996—the year before Palin took control of the budget—there was no general obligation debt. [Wasilla Comprehensive Annual Financial Report 2003, Table 10]

And then to top that, he earned a law degree to begin another process of working his way into the political world to use his outstanding thinking skills to lead people again! Sounds to me like he had a very good resume and plan if one measures his accomplishment of being elected to the Illinois Senate in 2004. Sort of reminds me of our founding forefathers when they used to meet in town halls to discuss very important issues that led to the writing of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and now guarantees your freedom to express yourself in this blog.

How does the affirmative action process supposedly work? The University grants someone a degree because they are a certain color? Is the person required to pass their exams, or is that not required either?

First, in Wisconsin you don't have to take the Bar if you attended a state school or Marquette. Does Illinois if he attended Harvard?

Secondly, he likes playing the race card when it suites him. For him to get into Harvard at that time, he would have had to. We're talking the 80's. At that time, it was an old boys network. For a minority to get in there, it's almost certain. Old Boys, even older money. He claims to have had school loans. Old money usually trumps that. He attended because he helped them meet racial quotas. Sad.

I am a product of Annapolis and I ended up at the War College. For me race meant very little. My class of 300 had over 12,000 applicants. Race or gender didn't matter. In fact I remember that was blocked out on our final letters of intent. We competed as equals. My classmates and I earned our positions because of our abilities and skills not because of the color of our skin.

Cause I've heard of affirmative action, but I've never heard of people getting their degrees handed to them without doing the work for it.
And Bush didn't ever used connections? Bush doesn't have "old money?" What about McCain, who left his former wife for a wealthy woman, Cindy?

Color does effect at times. Stop by schools like MSOE for their "business" degree. While a great school of engineering, the business is a joke. It's like a journalism degree from one of our state schools. It prepares you for working in the food service industry, that's about it.

As far as Bush, I'm sure it did. But again, Barry's race not skills got him where he is today. Along with a lot of luck.

Obama has used his race much less, then Bush & McCain have used their race (white and born in this country which attracts the religious, conservative Republicans who have a lot in comon with the Taliban), family backgrounds, old, old money, and family connections.
Obama is much more self made then Bush and McCain put together.

You left wing kooks and your left wing elitist media buddies need to put the coo-coo back in the coocoo clock. We normal folks know you don't like facts or truth, but here it is. Who drew 1st blood? The Obama campaign attack machine did when they attacked Ms. Palin less than (2) hours after her selection. The Obama attack line-Ms. Palin was a mayor of a SMALL town of ONLY 9,000 people. YOUR left wing fanatics BELITTLED any and all her experience. Compared to what, Obama being a community organizer? No one from your left wing media friends has defined yet what that means and what he was in charge of. So like any human being who is attacked, she chose to respond-WITH FACT. She was a PTA ORGANIZER, elected mayor, and now elected governor. And now you don't like because she distinguished herself from the slime ball attacks Obama initiated trying to slander her experience. The left only believes in the politics of personal destruction. Ya'll invented it. And when Obama got push back (5) days after his attacks, he had the audacity of despair to accuse and attack Ms. Palin's speech of belittling him. Give us a break. We read the nonsense and lies.

If you liked Hillary for her grit, feistiness, intelligence, and determination to stand up for us common folks, then you should love this WOMAN, Sarah Palin. As a single father of a special needs daughter, this woman has my support. In all that I've listened to all the Democrat candidates for (2) years now, NONE of them has ever spoken out for those of us with special needs children. This fine woman and her husband have. So stop with your attacks and rhetoric. Encourage your candidate and his party to return to a civil debate, because we independents won't stand for his attacks when we go to the polls in November. Go Sarah.

Well, he is wrong. I am a woman and a single mom and palin, and mccain too, can never represent me:

Does he think the insurance companies are just going to suddenly LOWER their costs.

his probable financial advisor - phil graham - thinks all this is in our heads!

Alaska has a population SMALLER THAN Columbus, Ohio - true fact. And she has 18 months experience.

and tax breaks - Obama will cut the taxes for anyone making less than $250,000, eliminate capital gains tax on small businesses AND the low income elderly will pay NO taxes. ONLY the very rich (at least to little old me) will get an increase.

Why should people that are smart enough, or hard enough workers have to pay a higher percent of their income in taxes than those that aren't? You are punishing acheivement. I use to run a bar, and I would hear people bitch about how they could not afford health care, but at the same tine they were spending $100 a week or more in the bar and probably another $50 a week on cigarettes. The way to affordable health care is tort reform. If you get rid of the frivalous law suits (not going to happen with a democrat, trial lawyers are their biggest supporters), insurance would be a lot more affordable for everyone.

If you want to create more jobs, you lower corporate taxes not raise them. Companys move their business overseas because of our high corporate taxes. So we lose all of the corporate taxes, and all so the personal income tax from the people they use to employ. Also the stock market is a major influence in the economy and corporate profits control the market, so over taxing hurts the economy.

It should not be the governments job to provide anything more than 1) national security 2) federal law enforcement 3) provide montetary system 4) regulate interstate commerce 5) highway system. All the other BS is what costs us so much money.

I am in finance now, and I see people that are making 6 figures that came here with nothing and worked their way up. This is still the land of opportunity. Unfortunately a large portion of this country is stupid and lazy and wants to be taken care of.

The real solution to having the best president would be to get rid of the party system. If you let everyone run in a primary type system and you narrowed it down to the best 3 and let them run against each other for president, I think that would yield someone most of us could be happy with. The current system gave us Bush vrs Kerry; how sad is that.

Obama does not have the experience to be President; while McCain may not be the man we really need at this point, he is a far better option. McCain is a moderate that is liked and respected by many of the democrats in the Senate and Congress. He has the best chance of getting government to work together. Clinton and Bush both have polarized this country; Obama would do the same.

Palin is a non issue, she is no more inexperienced than Obama. I think she would be a decent VP; let's just hope McCain does not die in office.

So did you just cut copy or paste from the DNC website talking points? First, Hillary would be a terrible choice as president or VP. Over the years of "dodging" bullets at airports, she's been cause lying, cheating and misplacing records. You want scandals, answer a few questions. How can the smartest lawyer in the world misplace the Rose law firms records in her own office in the White House? Trooper gate? Are you talking about the Arkansas governor's security detail? Oh that was a Palin attack. How about travel gate or her health care plan. Forgetting that Bill was the elected official and worked for the people. She was the first lady.

On privatizing Social Security, I think it would be a great idea. I've seen the numbers I'm supposed to get and what I've put in. I'll never collect. My father never did and neither did my grand father. In a private account this could be another wealth transfer towards other family members. With the current system, it's gone.

Will she see funding for special ed programs as a waste of taxpayer money? With cuts in federal funding, school districts are having a hard time with this.

If you are remotely successful you have to vote for McCain because Obama will tax the hell out of you. McCain is a moderate that has shown the ability to get along with Democrats. Obama is a liberal that thinks the federal governments job to take care of every one. Tort reform is the way to affordable health care, not government run medicine. The reason business is leaving the country is because how high our corporate taxes are. When a company leaves the country, we get no corporate taxes, and no taxes from the people that would have been working there

Obama believes government not the people is the solution. More taxes. More wealth distribution. More restrictions. Less freedoms. He's only changed lately on drilling and energy. He still thinks windmills and tire pressure will solve everything. Barry is very good at reading speeches. That only works when you're in front of an audience or in Berlin. In the real world when you have to actually think for yourself without a script, he's in deep pooh.

Taken from the "recommendations" of Rush Limbaugh and his ilk. McSame has fallen in line, promising the same hate and divisiveness that so endeared Bush and Cheney to the (you can fool some of the people all the time) followers.

You dems, liberals, and supporters that cannot think for yourselves must be terrified of a woman, yes woman that can think, raise a family, hold a high office, and has the courage to speak her mind. Has the press belabored the Keating Savings and loan affair? His use of a disgusting C word to his wife? His plagiarism of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn's 1973 The Gulag Archipelago's account of a fellow prisoner drawing the sign of a cross in the dirt with a shovel ( in front of a christian assembly ) He is known for his irrational angry behavior so now we have his finger on the trigger, and her to back him up.

How appalling! You mean she didn't actually physically write that herself?!! Who would have ever thought that someone else actually writes these speeches?? She should be kicked out of the race!! And a teenaged pregnant daughter!! Really!!!??? I have never heard of such behavior from a teenager! It's definitely the mothers fault. Again, Palin should be disqualified! And I also heard that her husband got pulled over for drinking when he was 22. The AUDACITY! Can you imagine a 22 year old drinking??? This is absurd. An outrage! But the worst, Sarah Palin caught fishing without a license!! She actually cast a rod into water to catch a fish and she didn't have a license on her. Now this is just unforgivable. That just seals the deal right there. How dare she fish without a license? The utter disgrace is intolerable. Dispicable. I don't care if she is only a 44 years old woman and became a successful govorner. I don't care that she stood out among many and was offered the vice-precidency. I certainly don't care that she is articulate, polished, classy, a mother, a daughter, ex-mayor! What matters is that she got caught fishing without a licence. GIVE ME A FREAKIN BREAK YOU DEMOCRATS!!! Get over it! John McCain found us a winner. Get OVER IT!!!!!!!!!

It could take at least two years just to get the equiptment and infrastructure required for drilling online. If you want the project to be safe for the humans... I'm not even talking about the animals here.

By comparison, DFW Airport covers more than 18,000 acres. It is only 75 miles from the Trans Alaskan pipeline which would carry the oil. We know the oil is there and how much. It will be less expensive to bring it to market than deep water offshore drilling.

She was picked to be the VP nominee because she will bring in the religious right "base" the Republicans desperately need. They weren't happy with McCain -- they are very pleased with her.

The woman claims God is doing all the things she supports, I pray God will do one thing she does not support -- give us real change in the leadership of our beloved country. Eight years of lies and duplicity in the name of God should get the Diety plenty motivated.
