    That would be interesting to know. The stuff doesn't do much good to your innards.

    I'm one of those boomers, pretty much the same educational background and age as our illustrious Prez. I guess it'd be naive to think that nobody I went to school with turned up to be an alcoholic or addicted to worse stuff. The odds are really against it. But truthfully I think I know of only one (was told second-hand and can't verify) .

    I remember reading all sorts of stories about how wild people my age were. And wondering "what did I miss?" and "where were these guys?" But about the most sobering thing I remember is a co-worker dying at 52 from an overweight-induced heart attack. Though he was a athlete, he was always prone to the heavy side; and I guess he got less active as he got older. It finally caught up with him.

    Other than to protest that we were pretty standard college fools, as opposed to drug-addled ones, I'm not sure what the article expects.
