Interesting link. Nothing really shocking here, she sounds like a typical Republican. Reminds me of the conservatives in my state thousands of miles from Alaska. They built all these large and elaborate new schools then promptly sought to cut the tax base to fund them.

It is simple not logical to operate in this way. A business run in such a manner would have the doors quickly padlocked. But debt and deficit spending seem to be completely acceptable to these politicians. It's kind of like a compulsive shopper with a credit card. They have cash in the bank but instead accumulate huge interest fees. That cash then quickly evaporates paying the accrued interest and not the principle. This is exactly the situation we now find ourselves in at the federal level. Criticize the Dems for excessive spending and taxes if you like but realize the last Democratic President left office with a surplus of nearly 600 Billion! At least they fund what they spend!-

First, the first article you sight failed to explain why there was a surplus or what the consequences were. First, congress held spending down and Clinton refused to lower taxes. A surplus is created. The down side, the higher taxes caused business to pull out and that lead to the recession the media failed to note in Bill's last year in office. Trust me, my firm saw the handwriting on the wall and was fully prepared to pull out of the USA at that time. The good thing with Bush was his tax cuts that permitted a soft landing.

On the fact check thing, it's down. What did it say? Bush is a jerk? Obama is the messiah? Biden wasn't a plagiarist after all?
