To 'Belittle' or to laugh at what is known as 'Community Organizing' is a little like laughing at those that came together and worked in the 50's and 60's to form the Civil Rights marches throughout this great Country. If I was the GOP, I would not go down this road.

They run sh*t, they don't care.

Their core audience doesn't watch anything political. They are just Republicans by nature.
it is truly sickening the amount of attention that is paid to Palin as a "gun-toting, hockey mom" as being a GOOD THING for America.
People won't stand for it. I just hope the Obama campaign really understands that the only way to get through to the white trash core of Republican life is with negative attacks....it's sad but true. Obama has been slandered to death, and even here in Philly, people believe it because its on TV.-

Ms. Palin compared herself to a pitbull and perhaps she meant to focus on the tenacity of the pitbull. However, most people think of pitbulls as vicious, mean dogs, usually put to death when they attack people. Not a very flattering comparison.

pitbulls are smart, but not the most intelligent and loyal dogs. not even in the top ten for intelligence. Palin should have said "rottweiler" if she was looking to appear smart since rotweilers are smarter thatn pitbulls and extremely loyal. .
Reply
and pitbulls aren't mean, unless some idiot owner makes then that way. they don't have some natural pre-disposition to go for the jugular.
it is a rather stupid comparison.
do some research.

unfortunately you must have been a community organizer that didn't make the grade.

Obama' community area is a bust--today it has 138 murders--more than in Iraq this year!!! If your candidate did so much as an organizer it really doesn't show in his south Chicago area. Maybe you don't have anything between your ears either. was your major weight lifting or skipping school??? sounds like you go to Jerimiah Rights school of indoctrination!!!-

You've already used that joke on this thread. Time for some new material?
If you believe I made some sort of grammatical error, please point it out. You're wrong--I made none. (I also know how to spell the word "grammar.")
I write for a living. And not a bad living at that. :-)
Now run along, and come back when you have something substantive to say.

A) Now this is very perplexing news...According to you, Americans are more of a danger to themselves than Iraqis are, and yet it makes sense for us to be there (AND you insist that Bush has kept us safe since 9/11)? Wow...Now I don't know what cons want me to believe anymore. It's all so very confusing. ;-(
B) What's a "community area"?
C) What source are you getting your figures from?

Get real - any volunter work is and should be apreciated at the least. He got NO pay for it which is admirable. He helped to register low income including seniors to vote along with helping them to get health care. I'm sure McCain has no clue what the phrase "low income" means. He's never once mentioned it in any of his dull and lifeless speeches.

McCains multiple homes add up to MUCH more than Obama's house.

I don't know where YOU are mah, but outside of Denver 1.7 million doesn't buy you any mansions!
Better get in touch with the housing market before trying to SMEAR Senator Obama.

Here is what he accomplished.

After four years in New York City, Obama moved to Chicago to work as a community organizer for three years from June 1985 to May 1988 as director of the Developing Communities Project (DCP), a church-based community organization originally comprising eight Catholic parishes in Greater Roseland (Roseland, West Pullman, and Riverdale) on Chicago's far South Side.[12][14] During his three years as the DCP's director, its staff grew from 1 to 13 and its annual budget grew from $70,000 to $400,000, with accomplishments including helping set up a job training program, a college preparatory tutoring program, and a tenants' rights organization in Altgeld Gardens.[15] Obama also worked as a consultant and instructor for the Gamaliel Foundation, a community organizing institute.
I would say it was quite a lot.-

You didn't say that alot of that money saw its way into the wife's organization--those tenaments are now condemmed-unfit for habitation, and the murder rate published today stand at 136--more than soldiers killed in action this year!! Plus he bought property undervalued an now worth millions--I think he's pulled the bro cap over your head--really read all sides of the issues before you open your mouth with half the truth and results.

I'm still waiting to hear what Bush accomplished. We hear things like "Bush kept us safe since 9/11" (which is a lot like claiming that Bush picked his nose and the price of oil dropped by .50 in one day) but this isn't something that cons can say with certainty that Bush is responsible for. I wasn't struck by lightning this year either but I don't think I deserve a pat on the back for "keeping myself safe". ;-(

has either McCain or Palin ever done anything at the grassroots level where they dealt with real people on a day to day basis?
Reply
if so I'd like to hear about it.
getting people registered to vote is pretty important stuff in a democracy, especially when one party is doing everything it can to make sure these people don't get to vote.
if your hat doesn't go off to people doing the very important job of voter registration at the grassroots level, then you're simply unAmerican.

To belittle or to laugh at a small town Mayor as the Uberllibs did is the problem, not what Palen said. What she said was a fact.
Reply
You may not like what she said, but that is opinion. So in the future, please state facts first, then your opinion.-

If you listened to her speech you would realize she was not poking fun at community organizers but at the "total lack" of Executive leadership that Obama has. It can not be denied, no matter what way you want to put it. The man is lacking in Executive knowledge which I would hope the American people want a truly qualified Chief Executive for the Oval Office.

Yes, one like John McCain who finished # 884 in a class of 889 at the naval academy. Sorry he got shot down in Nam but take a lokk at his flying ability. There are many other POWs among us but you don't hear them reliving it . Bless him and I understand it took her something like 6 yrs and 5 colleges to finish;another real flash of brillance or what?

Please explain to me how electing 2 incredibly stupid people is going to help America? Do you go to the most stupid guy to handle your finances, fly your family around, operate on your children?
Please help me to understand why many Americans want to be led by stupid people. -
