Get real - any volunter work is and should be apreciated at the least. He got NO pay for it which is admirable. He helped to register low income including seniors to vote along with helping them to get health care. I'm sure McCain has no clue what the phrase "low income" means. He's never once mentioned it in any of his dull and lifeless speeches.

McCains multiple homes add up to MUCH more than Obama's house.

I don't know where YOU are mah, but outside of Denver 1.7 million doesn't buy you any mansions!
Better get in touch with the housing market before trying to SMEAR Senator Obama.

After four years in New York City, Obama moved to Chicago to work as a community organizer for three years from June 1985 to May 1988 as director of the Developing Communities Project (DCP), a church-based community organization originally comprising eight Catholic parishes in Greater Roseland (Roseland, West Pullman, and Riverdale) on Chicago's far South Side.[12][14] During his three years as the DCP's director, its staff grew from 1 to 13 and its annual budget grew from $70,000 to $400,000, with accomplishments including helping set up a job training program, a college preparatory tutoring program, and a tenants' rights organization in Altgeld Gardens.[15] Obama also worked as a consultant and instructor for the Gamaliel Foundation, a community organizing institute.
I would say it was quite a lot.-

You didn't say that alot of that money saw its way into the wife's organization--those tenaments are now condemmed-unfit for habitation, and the murder rate published today stand at 136--more than soldiers killed in action this year!! Plus he bought property undervalued an now worth millions--I think he's pulled the bro cap over your head--really read all sides of the issues before you open your mouth with half the truth and results.

I'm still waiting to hear what Bush accomplished. We hear things like "Bush kept us safe since 9/11" (which is a lot like claiming that Bush picked his nose and the price of oil dropped by .50 in one day) but this isn't something that cons can say with certainty that Bush is responsible for. I wasn't struck by lightning this year either but I don't think I deserve a pat on the back for "keeping myself safe". ;-(

has either McCain or Palin ever done anything at the grassroots level where they dealt with real people on a day to day basis?
Reply
if so I'd like to hear about it.
getting people registered to vote is pretty important stuff in a democracy, especially when one party is doing everything it can to make sure these people don't get to vote.
if your hat doesn't go off to people doing the very important job of voter registration at the grassroots level, then you're simply unAmerican.
