Hillary should want to do everything she can to keep this woman from swooping in and breaking that glass ceiling that she (Hillary) has spent her entire career trying to break. Its a ceiling that needs broken, for certain, but not by a woman who stands for everything that is the antithesis of what every feminist stands for. I don't know if Hillary would be the one to break it if Palin doesn't, but I would think she'd want to do anything possible to preserve that option for her, or even her daughter, to claim in the near future.

And all the nastiness being bandied about trying to stir up negative feelings between Obama and Clinton need to be ignored. That race is over. The nominee has been named, Its time to move forward. And ultimately, what is important that the policies that both Obama and Clinton shared are put into practice instead of bickering over whose name signs them into being. I have little doubt she'll have a prominent place in the Obama administration where she can and will shine bright......health care czar, perhaps. But that means defeating McCain and his token woman VP first.-

There are more than a few women who believe Sarah Palin represents their kind of feminism, and not the single brand proferred by Democrats over the years. Several women I speak to suggest that she represents a tough, savvy leader who is also a feminine woman. They like this combination.

Again, I don't like identity politics. At the same time I understand that people like to vote for people for whom they find an affinity. But suggesting that Palin is the antithesis of feminism is nullifying an alternate definition of feminism, one that more than a few women seem to like.
We debate things like patriotism. If there can be more than one kind of patriotism, surely there can be more than one kind of feminism.

There are Obama supporters who feel Clinton needs to make a strong case against Palin. And they are intrigued -- and troubled -- by the fact that she won't.

Let's see if I understand this.....
First, Obama supporters badmouth Hillary Clinton during the primaries
Then Obama beats her and becomes the nominee
Then Obama insults her by not picking her for VP
....and now the same people who kicked sand in her face during the primaries are "troubled" that she won't lock horns with Pitbull Palin.
Are these people really that stupid? -
